My suggestion would be to drop a few of the discard spells. for example. You don't need 2 inquisition of kozilek when you can just run four duress. In such a combo deck I think I'd also want to run that fourth ponder as well.

The standard tournament version of this deck does unfortunately add money to the deck. By running copies of Lions Eye Diamond and infernal tutor. You play however many mana rituals and zero drops as you can in your hand before popping the diamond with infernal tutors ability on the stack to go hellbent, find ad nauseum, draw cards like the wind and then tendrils to win.

Then again the version of this deck that's been running around is also black/red, not black/blue. In order to take advantage of the red mana rituals (desperate ritual, rite of flame, seething song, inner fire, pyretic ritual, manamorphose etc). And the red storm cards (ignite memories, grapeshot, empty the warrens).

The version of the deck that I have runs the card Null Profusion. When I play a spell, I draw a card.

What's "Crazy Expensive?" Lions Eye Diamonds are like 35 a piece.

Ah, just checking. Well, take out 2 Spellbooks for 2 Zuran Orb. You can sac a few lands to regain some life in the event you kill yourself with ad nauseam. Also, try Retract. for 1 Blue, you can recall all your artifacts and recast, pretty much doubling your storm count.

zuran orb is a pretty good suggestion. retract is an amazingly sexy idea. big thanks.

As an extractor, this deck looks like a nuke made of paper maché -- very powerful, but insanely fragile. All the same, it's a good deck. Just be prepared to be "that ANT player".

Nice idea, now for the Spellbook I don't know if you really need this as one of the 0 artifacts, you always could go with Urza's Bauble (it ables you to draw an extra card next turn) or a Paradise Mantle or Bone Saw both good equipments and both cost 0. You could also add red instead of blue (but keep the Pact of Negation as insurance) Then add some mana producers like Pyretic Ritual, Seething Song or Rite of Flame. Plus add some 0 casting Kobold's and a couple Storm Entity or Grapeshot just in case you don't get a Tendrils of Agony on your draw step.

Think of this. Play Tendrils of Agony, then Grapeshot, then lay all the artifact creatures you can for a huge amount of damage plus a ton of storming. I'd call that the storm of the century. =D

a big thanks to slurmcola and buddysystem. to surewhynot, i do see what you mean with how the deck is fragile. i think im gonna go with a few things from clockworkcopper. to clockworkcopper, rite of flame a couple kobolds, grapeshot, and possibly urza's bauble will see some spot in the deck. thanks for those suggestions. a huge thanks to all who commented!!

A good addition (IMO) would be Ill Gotten Gains

Also Lions Eye Diamond and Infernal Tutor. (The idea here is "Ill cast Infernal Tutor and in response ill activate LED and discard my hand (this works because Tutor doesn't check for hellbent till resolution and LED's activation is discarding your hand)) then cast Ill Gotten Gains and get back anything you didn't want to discard in addition to other mana sources.

Also as an Alt Win Con I would say throw in Empty the Warrens.

Also if i could get help on my Legacy MBC deck:

P.S. also 2x Burning Wish and keep a copy of your win con in Sideboard to avoid a Sad Sac rape.

although i actually own two infernal tutors, lions eye diamond is too expensive for someone like me. i do like empty the warrens, but another four drop card may do more harm than good. and burning wish is around 10, also just a little too much for me. thanks though. i'll take a look at your deck

How do you plan to get the Ad Nauseam into your hand? I mean, tournament ANT decks died off once Mystical Tutor was banned, and for that exact reason. I don't understand what you plan to do if you don't draw Ad Nauseam in the first five turns... which, with only two in the deck, seems like it'll happen often enough.

For a cheap "hang on while I go find my combo card" card, go find Lim-Dul's Vault and buy four. Nobody likes them in tournament so they're only maybe $4 each, but they will help you draw Ad Nauseam about as well as anything can.

Oh, also -- Ponder, Opt, Brainstorm, Preordain, Serum Visions, Sensei's Divining Top if you can find a few cheap, uhh, Breakthrough, Careful Study, Mystic Remora, uhhhh..... Portent, Read the Runes, Shared Discovery (and then run lots of zero-casting-cost creatures like Ornithopter).

Some of those have got to be cheap.

or perhaps Foresee, Mystic Speculation, Skeletal Scrying, Viscera Seer.... ?

the deck really could use draw and scrying. brainstorm, ponder, and mystic speculation are what can go in. thank you for all those suggestions. i just need help with what to take out though.

I Would try out some dual-lands instead of having to run the very few less needed lands. May give you a couple of extra spots in the deck.

BBR,

Take out the Spellbooks and Zuran Orbs and the Storm Entitys and all the red mana producing cards; replace with blue draw and/or hand fixing (note: for a cheap card to include you might consider a single Jace Beleren). You don't really need red mana. Correction, you really really don't need red mana. :P

You *do* badly need a couple Mox Diamond to take advantage of all that land and/or a couple Mox Opal to take advantage of all those freebie artifact creatures. But yeah, I know, expensive. Consider running basic lands and a couple of those Outpost cards instead. When you're black/blue only some basic lands might be more appealing anyhow.

This deck will be slower than most ANT, and that's ok. You will stall for a few turns with Shield Sphere or some crap. Then you will go off.

i think i agree with you the most. red is cool, but it adds unnecessary cards. i'd prefer regular old card advantage over a storm entity and junk. thanks so much
