Deck discussion for R/B Vampires - Fangs and Finesse

230 views and no comments ? Allow me to be the first. This deck seems simple, yet elegant and effective. The things that came to mind were:

I'd drop the 2 curse of stalked prey, yeah it fits, but it's a bit redundant, maybe just add the 4th Rakish Heir.
You chose Pillar of flame over Lightning Bolt in the side board, I'd pick the old standard bolt.
For your unblockable you have 4 Artful Dodge and 4 Ghostform, but they are 1 turn only, I'd drop1 of each and add 2 Whispersilk Cloaks.

Lastly, I'd consider dropping the 4 Pillars/Bolts all together, along with the 2 Curses, and maybe 1 more of each of the Artful Dodge, Ghostform, and the Curiosity. This frees up 6-9 spots. The cards I'd consider, that serve similar purposes instead, are:

Izzet Charm , Electrolyze, Dragonshift, and/or Teleportal.

Hope that helps.

These are some pretty awesome recommendations, thanks a lot for taking the time and thought to help a bit.

And holy cow, Return to Ravnica really had some tasty treats for this deck that I'd overlooked! Teleportal and the charm in particular. Both of them definitely add in some utility as well as taking the place of most of those earlier cards in ensuring that the vampires drink deeply from the blood of my foes.

I was initially pretty reluctantly on the Dragonshift from a mechanical and flavor stand-point, but after thinking about it I definitely warmed up to it. Reflavor it a little and it is simply the vampires' own thrist overcoming their sanity, and rather than feasting simply destroying. And when you buff up the base damage of those suckers already covered in +1/+1's? Definitely makes for a potent swing!

Thanks a lot for helping to create a new look for vampires! Who needs black, anyways, am I right?
