augustine is the commander , at first it was hazid, but then as i got augustine i changed , he's better all around
i know what you mean it could increase my mana output even more, but at the same time, now that i just finished my version, it's just so hard to remove something lol
why not use enchantments like Primal Vigor, and/or (if at all able) Doubling season? i have a bit of a similar EDH deck, but i've added black aswell with Damia, sage of stone as General (not exactly counter based, but still nice ), so i can play cards like Corpsejack Menace, to even increase the doubling of counters that you would do with vorel of the hull clade. also a Master Biomancer could fit in nicely, if you would like to have unblockable creatures, a Champion of Lambholt?, if you need to search for it, a Momir Vig, Simic Visionary can help you a long way, and for maybe some extra card draw, Bred for the Hunt allows you to draw cards, when a creature you control with a +1+1 counter deals damage to a player :)
