Looks like a fun one - only, if my assumption of what you're thinking is true, Shirei's ability does not work with Modular creatures. When the creature dies, its power and toughness do not alter. Its not until after a modular creature enters the graveyard that the counters are moved. What you DO want in here is probably green instead of black! You can still get good creature regaining spells and better counter boosters (especially Death's Presence)! That's a killer with Modular.Maybe even some blue for draw spells (like Vedalken Archmage).
