Well since your obviously playing as an Elf deck why not add Elvish Arch Druid? Allows him to be tapped for every elf that you control...I dunno sounds like a logical choice to me.

Oh and Baneslayer Angel is also a much better card choice than Serra. a 5/5 with lifelink for only 5 mana? Come on now.
Well if the the purpose of this deck was simply to gain life, then perhaps the Baneslayer would be better than the Serra Avatar. Since it is not, however, the Serra Avatar is great for the purpose of the deck. Enchant the Avatar with Rancor and the Serra's Embrace, now it has trample and flying. Combine this with the noble purpose, and Serra's Blessing....... massive power.
Both are good for side boards though....
