Honestly, in constructed, Heroic isn't a subtheme that you want to try to make work, and tormented hero probably wouldn't be the creature to make it work with anyway. I would swap them out for Purphoros, since he makes this combo tick pretty well. Precinct captain might also be hard to cast with this deck. Without Heroic, I would find better spells then God's Willing and Martial Glory (or at least don't run 4 and 3), and 24 lands might be too many. I'd also consider running temples and/or gates, since having 12 basics is going to give you a lot of mana problems.

Your suggestions are much appreciated! The reason I wanted to use the Tormented Hero was because a 2/1 for 1 is sweet. I suppose you are right that it does not have a place in the deck, but I wanted to dream.
