im guessing the trait Doctoring is used just to mana fix and proc young pyro/niv magus elemental?I do like the direction your deck is taking; I think I might try out this creature oriented take sometime soon.

It is used for those reasons, however it can also change purphoros's devotion requirement to blue if necessary to make him a creature for that winning hit.
Oh cool, I never thought of that.I think Obelisk of Urd or hall of triumph could be something to consider to buff up the elemental tokens?with obelisk you might be able to cast a master of waves w/ ~5 devotion and then an obelisk for free
Never heard of Obelisk of Urd, quite new to magic so anything pre-M14 is likely to have flown under my radar.

Seen it, yes that would be awesome. Especially as i could use tokens to help cast it.
You have nivmagus elemental and young pyromancer in here, which rely on instants and sorceries, but you only have 13 of those in your deck. Not ideal if you ask me. Either find some cards to replace them or ramp up the # of instants and sorceries you have. Use some cards with storm, they should help you a lot.
storm cards aren't in standard. the cipher cards should in general be repeatable sorceries every turn, creating more guys from young pyro, and still able to be exiled by the nivmagus elemental thus creating +1/+1 counters.
Ah, standard, now I see. Yeah, cipher will help with those two quite a bit. Never mind.
Cheers guys, Cithiri you have a point as I did sometimes struggle to start triggering young pyromancer/nivmagus elemental. However, that's only if i'm getting really unlucky draws. Generally I get at least one cipher spell though.
