i think its for use with Conclave Phalanx to get lots of life.
I think it also makes surging sentinels multiple chances for the rippling effect. No wait, its made so you can ripple everything, since he has the Thrumming Stone in there. Plus, its just a nice solid flying soldier.
why are the plains snow-covered?
I would add honor of the pure instead of glorious anthem, because it's cheaper and you're playing mono white. Also, swords to plowshares maybe, to get rid of tricky creatures. Also, elite vanguard is a one white costing 2/1 soldier
Would replace Glory Seeker with Kazandu Blademaster. Still a soldier, same CMC, same P/T by the time it resolves, can get bigger if you happen to land more than one, and doesn't rely on Marshal/Oathsworn for first-strike/vigilance.
