Certinly interesting but what does he simic guildmage actually help out with?

The guild mage is there to eradicate any threat of opposing enchantments, and also to put your 1/1 counters in the right place after you steal the opponents creatures.

Cool deck I like the style and the side boards a good change up from the main deck. I take out 1 copy enchantment and 1 Dream Leash for 2 more signets.

Why the Confiscate? Dream Leash? Why not just play 4 Viegan Graftmage, then untap and retap stealing all of the creatures you just put +1/+1 counters on? Then add a couple of cards to protect your Manipulator (Plaxamanta, Plaxcaster Frogling, Sheilding Plax) and you have a cheaper way to steal more creatures.

To add to my skimpy early comment, I know the power of dream leash. My friend once played B/U and took some of my powerful creatures(thank goodness he played before i dropped solarion)

Y not take out dream leash and put in followed footstep so u can have a new copy of cytoplast maniplator each upkeep. It cost the same amount of mana as followed footsteps

edit: 31/01/07. In my latest revision of this deck I have completely removed the +1/+1 theme. in practise in a tournament environment Cytoplast Manipulator’s never stuck around to long, in exchange for a few more counter spells and thief spells such as Govern the Guildless.

I've always loved the whole simic/control idea. I've been fiddling around with one of my own for a while. I may borrow some from your idea here. Nice.

Very fast and slowly becoming a clasic deck style. Grafting is too op i think personally, but that is magic.
I think there are some better things you could put in it, well atleast for the side board, but atm it looks good, strong and effective.
