Boros "Heroic" with a splash of control that should slow your opponents down just enough for you to hit your triggers.

How to Play

Simply time your Heroic abilities to deal maximum amounts of damage. Use Gods Willing, Boros Charm, and Brave the Elements to protect your otherwise defenseless creatures and then swing for the fences.

Deck discussion for R/W Heoric

I feel Boros Charm is a must for, pretty much, every Boros deck. It's just too damn useful. So, I'd recommend that.

Edit: Just saw that it's in your sideboard. I'd main board it.

You were right. It's so versatile and I updated the deck after your suggestion. After using this deck in an FNM I went back and added 4x Brave the Elements because creature protection was the downfall of the deck. However, I may only run 2 of them now that I am using the charm. My biggest problem was Supreme Verdict, which the charm deals with. Any other kill spells can be handled by Gods Willing, which also triggers heroic and allows me to Scry. I'm fairly confident with the tweaks and the charms should allow me to contend with it. Thanks!

Titan's strength?

I considered it but went with the Instants that target two different creatures instead because when playing Heroic, it is a huge advantage.

I would mainboard Aurelia's Fury. its pretty good with Heroic, if you use the right guys. you can target each of your dudes at the end of the opponents turn and get the buffs if you have free mana late game, or you can use it on your turn to clear the path for your dudes to get through

That is a very interesting strategy. I like it. But, I think it would be pretty situational and should remain in the sideboard. I hadn't even thought of targeting my own dudes tho. It makes that card infinitely better and its something my opponent wouldn't be ready for. I'll come back and tell you if I ever do it.

Quite similar to the standard deck I'm building, except I am still in the testing stage for how a number of cards would work in the deck. So far I have been testing with Titan's Strength for the scry and aggressive pump, but since I tried out Coordinated Assault I find it much better :P Also how including Brave the Elements in a mostly white deck eluded my mind is beyond me :D

I believe that 4 copies of Temple of Triumph is a little too much, as ideally you would like to start doing things as fast as possible and only occasionally will you have the luxury of time to put a tapped land into play (even though scry is magnificent). Another thing I would change is add another, -white- 1 drop - so that you start your engine running earlier on. Consider Favored Hoplite for heroic, and even Boros Elite and Soldier of the Pantheon - universally powerful aggro 1 drops. This way you will never have like me where on turn three you have a hand full of buffs and nothing to put them on -_- Oh, and Madcap Skills may not always the thing you are looking for - but quite often allows you to manipulate the opponents' blocks to your advantage, so that you can play your heroic pumps for maximum carnage. Hehe.

Hope that helps,
Dual

I haven't run into too much trouble with Temple of Triumph yet. I'm sure there will be a couple of games here and there where it catches me. As for the early one drop, I actually am play-testing Soldier of the Pantheon and... I love it. Sooo good. I was forced to turn to Brave the Elements after my first FNM with this deck. Everything was getting killed and there just weren't enough Gods Willing. Let me know if you find any other cards or post a link to your deck and we'll be able to bounce ideas off of each other. Thanks for the ideas.

This is my deck idea, so far the synergy between the cards has been lovely:

I have also playtested with Soldier of the Pantheon and Wojek Halberdiers, they are great in the deck as well. I proxied Coordinated Assault with Titan's Strength because I only have 1... lol. I prefer having more creatures so as to swarm the board even if one or two get removed - not to mention the more, the merrier Anax and Cymede, Phalanx Leader and Boros Elite become. Ultimately, the mix of quick and agressive formations, evasion and combat tricks adds up quite nicely.

You know a good player when you see the mana base. Good deck, nice and fast, strong aggro and good burn
