Deck Description

I was reminded of Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, and I wanted to make a deck that could use him almost indefinitely. Given that he requires 3 different mana colors to cast, I decided it would be best that the rest of the deck be mostly artifacts since most of them do not require a specific color to cast. I also took into account that since Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker isn't a creature, there would be very few cards that could return him from the graveyard at low costs. I then basically grabbed just about every low-costing card I could find that could perform such feats, and filled the rest of the deck with cards that were self-sustaining, such as the Arcbound cards, and cards that could add mana. Please rate and comment any suggestions you might have that could make it better. Thank you in advance.

How to Play

Simply get a lot of mana to start with, hopefully at least 2-3 in the first hand you draw. then defend yourself with low-cost creatures and use epic experiment to cut out some cards from the deck. Be careful though, as you might accidentally discard both Elixir of Immortality's and Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker's. If you do happen to discard them both, Fossil find, Arcbound Reclaimer, and Codex Shredder should help bring them back. When you have Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker out, you should be able to gain good control over the battle. but if you start to lose, there is Elixir of Immortality to help refuel you. Also for gaining life is Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas, which can give you life for twice the amount of artifacts you have along with dealing equal damage to your opponent, and Clearwater Goblet. Clearwater Goblet is pretty simple, you just have to make sure you use at least 3 different mana colors when casting him so that you can gain a fair amount of life, but to make sure you can get 5 life for each upkeep, there are two Alloy Myr's which can add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Use one Alloy Myr for white and the other for black and you can get all five colors of mana, with which you use to play Clearwater Goblet. In the Sideboard, I threw in the original Nicol Bolas and Cruel Ultimatum. These are for those who do not worry much about life. Simply, replace the Clearwater Goblet's and Alloy Myr's with them and you have a massive offensive. The Original Nicol Bolas has flying and makes your opponent discard their whole hand when it does damage. If you can get him out and hit your opponent once, you have a high chance of keeping him, along with your other cards, out on the field. If you have Nicol Bolas, and Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, with at least 9 counters, on your field and Cruel Ultimatum in your hand, along with enough mana to cast it, you basically win. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker makes your opponent get rid of 7 cards in his/her hand, 7 of his/her permanents, and deals 7 damage. Then, use Cruel Ultimatum to kill off a creature, 3 cards in his/her hand, and make them lose another 5 life. Finally you can attack with Nicol Bolas, which should have no problems attacking seeing as how your opponent just buried 8 of their own cards on the field, and discard 10 cards in their hand. By the end of all of that, your opponent would only have 1 life left, assuming there was no resistance that was effective enough to stop you from activating your cards and attacking and assuming they had 20 life, so unless they just happen to have enough mana, and the next card they draw is enough to kill off your creatures and planeswalker, you should win. Not to mention, that I left out plenty of other cards from the deck that could also bring back your planeswalker, simply because they cost to much, and I'm sure there are plenty of cards that could go along with either tactic you take of beating your opponent, so the deck is very editable for those of you who wish to change bits of the deck to suit other cards. Have fun playing.
