True Black

This deck went from being just a desire for the nostalgia of playing mono black deck to being one of my top performing decks I've ever built. It's fast, consistent, easy to play correctly, and a hell of a lot of fun... And CHEAP

Just curve out, really. Turn 1 any of the 1 drops are great, particularly cutthroat for the life gain. Turn 2 you drop either basilica or 2 more 1 drops, that actually my preferred play. Turn 3 is where they sweat. nighthawk is a real problem, drana closes games fast if you've got several other creatures down, spawn is my new favorite black card, you can under-pay for him, its damage every turn, all on a 4/4 flampler body. Dread shade is in here as a mana outlet, along ith basilica. I hate wasted mana, these guys make sure that doesn't happen. Turn 4 they usually realize they're going to lose and is normally where the conceding types do so. Normally it goes, bad moon, kill the creature they played last turn and are all proud of, then swing for lethal or near. Bad moon really is to your advantage. Even if they happen to be playing black creatures, odds are they dont play as many as you, and even if that is also the case, you have life link, you'll never regret having blood moon down... or 2 even. There's enough life gain that only the most aggressive decks will cause you to need to block as well as off-set the sign in bloods and spawn damage (sign in blood should also always be noted that you can aim it at them for some finishing damage if needed. Gate keeper pisses of everyone and can be devastating late game.

Sideboard:
Aetherborn Vampire for more creature based aggro decks
Thoughtseize/ Inquizition of Kozilek for control and combo decks
Immortal servitude... odd i know but really helps recover from sweepers
Blood artist if you run into a lot of sweepers
Contaminated ground... again, underrated card, can cripple if they're trying to play too many colors and aren't in black.
