Red does have some existing cat options as well as the dog and cat naya legend!

As per my previous comment on the dog list I was working on, this deck is a intro power level to be fought against the dog list.

3 colors can get pretty intimidating to newer players, but I think a good list would include Rin and Siri for all the extra values from the cast triggers!

The original list had 4 pack leaders!

Optimally, it would make the most sense.

However, I dropped it down to 2, to scale down the power level.

This deck is suppose to be more or less an intro deck for a friend of mine and his roommate, and to be fought against the other cat deck list I have going on. :)

It is a work in progress!!

Since the commander's synergy relies on creatures, I decided to tackle that first, cut down the creature list, then continue on with the rest of the deck! :)

Well according to the new rules of Commander, if your commander ever:
-Dies
-gets exiled
-sent to hand
-or library

you can instead choose to have him go the commander zone. And in the commander zone(or graveyard) he retains all his +1/+1 counters.

Another handy tip to remember is that skull briar needs to deal 21 damage to win the EDH game.

A good point that comes to mind is blue or white decks with lockdown spells such as pacifism or narcolepsy. So in that regard maybe some more enchantment removal might be needed.

Thank you for your suggestion, I think there are a couple of cards that do revolve around +1/+1 counters such as golgari/graft and such. If you had some good suggestions on some creatures to implement I would appreciate the feedback! :)

That is actually a pretty good suggestion!

I feel Fellwar stone, sky diamond, and even worn powerstone are good canidates for the chopping block.
While making this deck I was a bit anxious about not having enough mana available as blue often needs.

since the bulk of this deck is instant and sorceries, this deck should prioritize doing most of their casting during opponents turns to deal with threats.

Depending on the scale and size of the commander game, 2-3 opponents would drain your mana pretty fast.

In a 1v1, I think this deck would have more than enough mana to get rid of many mana rocks.

However, you do bring up a good point about massing drakes and empowering them as the win condition.

I will look into some good cost effective options to take care of that.

Thanks for your input!

Baral is defintely a good option for this deck! It synergizes well, and you could probably cycle through the deck fast enough to get him out in the field for that nice card advantage.

At the current moment, most of the cards in this deck are below $1.50. Most range in the $0.25 range, while the most expensive might be around $1.23 or so. I think on TCG Gatherer this deck hovers around the $25 range.

The reason being, if you wanted to get into EDH, but didn't want to spend an arm an a leg.

This deck could use a lot of good fine additions to help it synergize a lot more efficiently.

However, now that you mention it, this deck should still be under $30.00 if I included baral. I'll update it with your suggestion! :)
