If you splash red you could consider Burning Inquiry.

If you are going to run 4 Demonic Tutors, take out two Thrumming stones, they are legendary.

4 Door of Destinies sounds like it would be good on paper, but 4 is overkill. Again, 4 demonic tutors will get you the one or two you need to keep your rats big after a potential wipe.

1 Necropotence would work wonders in this deck to keep you pumping out the creatures. It has awsome synergy with Thrumming Stone.

The answer you are looking for to combat board wipe is card advantage, draw power. Sign in Blood would be an alright addition next to a Necropotence.

Understandably he is an insect, but hey, sympathize with the little fellow.

I smell a "Beyond the Ink" incoming. Give us one on the Demon tribe's brief extiction in the game of magic, and Horrors rise to power durring that period. What a sad time that was.

Also, Drinker of Sorrow was often looked at as Phyrexian Negator's retarded step brother, but it is far safer than Big Daddy Gator, deffinatly one to at least give a glance at.

But it is my proffesional black opinion, that any deck consisting of Ichorid, and is a horror deck, must run Bane of the Living. A board wipe into 3 Ichorids is devastating.

Yea, I have a suggestion. Give him a deck with Grizzly Bears and Giantgrowths to start out with. Not something with creatures like these. Now i'm not saying they are bad creatures, but deffinatly now ones to learn the game with. Only introduce one to two mechanics at a time helps, and try to keep out anything more than one or two creatures with "unique" abilities. He will thank you for it in the end.

Very nice UD deck. I like the addition of the kill spells. My approch was always turbo UD, with a sadistic smile whenever I got the head seat in a a game of Emperor.

that is a matter of preference my good sir. Skyshroud and Druid are quite different and used for different purposes.

Strip Mine is restricted in Vintage, and banned in Legacy bud. Thought i'd toss that out there.

Other than that, controll, with permanent sacrificing is just plain naaasty. I bet your friends are thrilled when you pull it out :)

Other cards to look at to finish this out could be...

Metatog: Late game combo with Celabration for direct DMG and a huge trampling baddy.
Slobad Goblin Tinkerer: For free Arti sacrificing for Celibration and to protect you Mimic Vat.
Vulshok War Boar: Semi early game beatstick that if you have the mana, can be comboed with Celebration.

Love the deck bud. I drafted this last friday and did very well.
