Way too slow and brittle in this deck, especially since adding Fling to make the obvious combo really ticks down the consistency of the deck.

Oi mate thx for the feedback

I would play Ethereal Haze if the mana base could handle it,
Lull/Angelsong are 2 mana fogs without add on effects which is pretty terrible even if the cycling powers Erasure.
Tangle - I already run two main board and 1 side board......
Ponder/Preordain both indeed in the top 3 cantrips in the format however this deck is not looking for a simple cantrips it is looking for mass card draw, especially mid to late game that's why everybody just plays Brainstorm as cantrip in turbo fog (because it draws 3) and apart from that Take Inventory, Accumulated Knowledge, Words of Wisdom etc.
Hallow, the only spell damage I have to worry about is red and Muddle the Mixture can tutor for Circle of Protection: Red meaning we basically play 7 Circle of Protection: Red post side and since we can reuse them as much as we want they beet Hallow.

This isn't just tribal it's a toolbox. You tutor up answers with Dimir Infiltrator and Muddle the Mixture thus you have to be 2 steps ahead of your opponent before knowing what you should get making it harder to pilot for rookie players.

I tried blink cards but you never need them you will always have another ally to cast in your hand just to get the triggers, and since every ally you play gets those triggers why not play more allies instead of blink cards? you get the same out of it.

Mob Rule is a 5 mana junk rare. And I myself wouldn't play a card like that over an anthem effect like Rally the Peasants or Righteous Charge because you always get through with the amount of creatures you have on board let alone the fact that a big chunk of our creatures have evasion.

As you look in the mana base you will see that this is mono red. I would love to add 2 colors to the deck but as I mentioned in the description this is a deck for a friend of mine who is on a tight budget and fixing a 3 color mana base would screw with that budget.

Thanks for your feedback tho ^^

Yeah that was the big problem cutting green had a 50% upside and a 50% downside... The 2 green cards that were in here couldn't possibly be replaced, if we wanted to have a 'quick' deck.

However I made this version just to test the midrange kinda feel, looking to combat this meta rather than blindly rush it. I do miss the "blindly charge" approach but the deck does run better now, especially in the mid/late game.

You probably don't cast Street Wraiths so you just play 12 creatures I would suggest bringing in atleast 2/3 Dauthi Slayers

Night's Whisper is uncommon, you can play read the bones if you really need too, I would suggest playing some more creatures tho

I like your deck although it seems rather slow for a suicide deck.

My advise:
1) Shadowfeed? you want to drain your opponent as fast as possible, you shouldn't really care about your life total as much as you do. I would maybe advice Shamble Back, for 1 black mana it gives you 2 life and a 2/2 creature. The only downside is that you need a creature in someone's graveyard to exile, so I would not advice a full playset.
2) Syndicate Enforcer is a 4 mana 3/2, sure extort is nice but the body is wayyy too small for a suicide deck on 4 mana.
3) Gray Merchant should be a 4 off, it drains a hella lot when it comes in and is actually a good way to gain life in suicide black since it deals a shit-ton of damage too.
4) Absorb Vis costs way too much and the basic land cycling isn't needed

I made my own list as it was something I wanted to try for a long time, maybe you pick up a few tips from it:

I play about each format (minus tiny leaders) but one thing that draws me in about pauper is the possibility to brew decks that consistently can stand their own and beat tier 1 decks. The meta is ever shifting, not because new cards get released but because people fall in love with unknown brews and tweak one of their own.

We have a pauper cup irl each Wednesday (with the official rules aka "If a common version of a particular card was ever released on Magic Online, any version of that card is legal in this format.") I always test run them for a few days and if I like them I keep make them irl and keep them.

I even made a facebook group because I wanted to get help and help other peepz out with their deck (and there wasn't a single English speaking group active)

Yeah I came in first
The problem with teetering peaks is that we already run 11 land (out of 20) that come in tapped (counting evolving wilds too) which I can't cut because this deck needs the mana fixing. pauper is a harsh landscape and the land bases (unless you play mono) are always less than ideal.

I did test it but it slowed down my manabase too much

Noteworthy any mono colored deck can have the advantage of running 4x quicksand without screwing up your mana base

I got my hands on 6 of them when they still were cheap as f*ck, Everybody knew he would spike. I usually do this (although sure it's a bet and some turned out to fall)

Otherwise run another good Madness enabler as From Under the Floorboards, Gisa's Bidding and Just the Wind can and should all be played for their madness costs.

Jace is in here for a few reasons: He draws cards, enables madness and his walker side gives things flashback which is really good.

Actually no... this ``90 dollar` jace works waayyyy better in this deck.

If you are on a budget I would suggest running just another card draw spell instead.

Oppressive Rays is bad. If they really want that creature through they will easily tax the mana for it. and why the Azorius Chancery and Remote Farm? I guess Chancery ensures a land drop the turn after it hits but lands like Remote Farm are only good if you are going after a turn 2/3 kill and need the extra mana really badly.
