Just wandering, what purpose does Demonic Consultation have?

its good for getting out a card you don't have like necro or anything else, demonic tutor is probably better, but its expensive and i don't have any.
Consume spirit is better than drain life. Also, ivory tower works amazing with necropotence. And maybe look into hymn to tourach, crazy disruption and card advantage.
