No vandalblast?

Vandalblast isn't good enough. The overload is unlikely to help since I can only turn 1 permanent into an artifact at a time. And for 1 mana I'm better off with the ancient grudges

i had a deck based around Liquimetal but had to destroy it b/c no one would duel me with it. it used the coat to make lands an artifact and blow them all up using various destroy artifact cards mwuahahahahaha. i dont suggest doing that idea unless u want ur friends to hate u lol. this looks pretty kool to me. though personally i would drop the phoenix for more smelter. hes just a beast of a card when u drop him especially with the coat out.

Yeah, I really like the smelter. I also like the phoenix cause I can keep bringing him back as long as I have metalcraft, which is likely. I am thinking about putting in Splinter so i can destroy 1 land (turned into an artifacT) then search their library /gy/hand for all instances of that land and exile them
