Deck Description

This an aggro deck built around the blade cycle from Shards of Alara block

How to Play

Welcome to Bantblades or Glassbant or Glassblades. I don't honestly know what the right title for the deck is. It's a gold-bordered aggro deck, boosted by Civic Saber and Glass of the Guildpact. With the best multicolored beaters all the way up the curve, this deck is built around hitting the ground running and not stopping until your opponent is ded. D-E-D, ded.

**Lands [19]:**

2 Temple Garden

1 Hallowed Fountain

1 Breeding Pool

3 Plains

2 Forest

1 Island

_Originally in Bant, this deck had 8 fast lands, but in order to splash the red, we needed a change. 6 fetches and 5 shocks made their way here. White is the color that keeps the deck together, so foundry is our red fetchable. The 4 pillars cast all 37 of our creatures, but don't glass awkwardly._

**One CMC [8]:**

4 Dryad Militant

4 Judge's Familiar

_To point out the elephant in the room, I am not running [[Path to Exile]] in my predominately white modern deck. This deck doesn't want to spend mana unless it's contributing to the board. Dryad Militant is the best aggressive threat that's 'gold' (hybrid is practically gold) and it has the ability to incidentally hose some match ups (dredge, storm, snapcaster decks, hollow one, Mardu Pyromancer). Judge's familiar offers both an evasive beater and semi protection for larger threats. Force Spiking a spell can turn the tides of games, something I learn while on Grixis Death's Shadow, often just force spiking with [[Stubborn Denial]] without ferocious active._

**Two CMC [14]:**

3 Bant Sureblade

4 Esper Stormblade

3 Naya Hushblade

3 Jund Hackblade

4 Glass of the Guildpact

4 Voice of Resurgence

_The namesake cards of the deck appear here, in the blade cycle from Alara Reborn. All of which are 2/1s who get +1/+1 as long as you control another multi-colored permanent, along with another upside. Bant becomes a 3/2 first striker, Esper becomes a 3/2 flyer, Naya becomes a 3/2 shroud, and Jund becomes a 3/2 haste. Next up is the Glass, a new card from Ravniva Allegiance, which boosts all multicolored creatures in a two mana anthem not limited by colored mana cost, as opposed to say [[Honor the Pure]]. This turns all my otherwise mediocre creatures into less mediocre creatures. Lastly, a set of Voice of Resurgence rounds off the two drops. Although she's only two colors, she always tends to bring a party, which is multicolored also. Protecting somewhat against instant speed removal or sweepers is very good for this list._

**Three CMC [10]:**

2 Deputy of Detention

4 Reflector Mage

1 Rhox War Monk

3 Mantis Rider

_Another new card slithers its way into my 60. Deputy has the massive issue of dying to [[Lightning Bolt]], however, that is no longer an issue with Glass. Thank Cthulu that they put both in the new set. Deputy is one of the biggest reasons why path couldn't find a place in the list. To have removal on a body is important, especially when it's a wall also. The other removal spell creature is Reflector Mage, bouncing creatures for an entire turn cycle. This does wonders against dredge creatures and [[Hollow One]], clearing away large blockers to chip in more damage, while also being boosted by the Glass. A trio of Riders are new red creatures, but with those keywords, how could I not? A lonely Rhox War Monk is my last three drop, being a 3/4 3 colored lifelinker makes it close to one of the best creatures for stabilization in the decks._

**Four CMC [2]:**

2 Knight of New Alara

_Another lord for multi-colored creatures, growing all creatures at least +2/+2, but with the blades they grow to +3/+3 (four technically). Knight of New Alara is a great finisher to ride along side our more aggressive creatures._

**Sideboard [15]:**

1 [[Dromoka's Command]]

_Modular spells are some of the most important things to have in your SB and Command fills that role for this SB, forcing Worship sacrifices, fighting Champions of the Parish, blanking burn spells and growing creatures._

1 [[Cindervines]]

_Artifact and enchantment hate on an enchantment that also hates on other decks is very good._

2 [[Rest in Peace]]

_This is just needed grave hate in addition to Militant in the main, but if there is a multi-colored grave hate creature, please let me know._

1 [[Gaddock Teeg]]

1 [[Lavinia, Azorius Renegade]]

_These are tron killers. I may need to play Teeg or Lavinia in this slot, and not one of each._

2 [[Stony Silence]]

_Needed artifact hate to beat decks like KCI (may the ban hammer come down hard)_

1 [[Geist of Saint Traft]]

_This is a control smasher, forcing through damage. Ambush vipers don't stop him like previously since we have Glass boosts_

2 [[Knight of Autumn]]

_A modular creature? Yes. A beat stick, a life gainer, and a reclamation stage boosted by glass and Knight of New Alara_

1 [[Tamiyo, Field Researcher]]

_Ever wanted to grind? You'll grind with this girly more than you ever would in da club_
