Deck Description

This is an idea that has been irritating me for a while. How would a deck work mostly made of countering spells? It's fun to think about denying someone the ability to play most of their hand.

I haven't play tested it yet because I'm missing most of the cards, but here's the basic idea.

This deck is not meant for any kind of competitive play, or any play other than just with friends for fun. This taken into account, I don't care about current rulings on limited or banned cards.

Instead of running a lot of sets of four of the most common countering spells, I wanted diversity. A whole smorgasbord of the most weird and wily counterspells in magic seemed to be more appealing than a bland mix of "counter target spell" abilities.

The win condition is either by the small creature base waltzing across an empty field or by deck loss.

Because many of these spells have unique abilities, they will more often than not provide more than the use of countering one spell, which is vital considering this deck will not be running a counterspell for every card an opponent plays.

Mana Drain would be in here, but there's no way in hell I'm getting any of those.

Oh, it's called 'countersharks' because counterflux sounds much cooler than something like 'counter deck.' (And because it's like the card shark, but much more rare and elusive.)

Right. Just a second. (It's hard to stop a counterspell-bound Isochron Scepter.)

Looks ok... but you probably are going to loose to a 1/1 because for the first couple of turns it will be hard to counter. I know you can potentially spelljack a creature or spell but relying on this seems iffy at best. I know you don't want this for competitive play but I made a counter deck that is. Yeah. The kill options were pongify (not helpful) and psionic blast, which would go in if I had any. But yes, I need some defenses. You know, like the creatures in this deck.
The idea here is that every nonland spell will be helpful to draw at any point in the game. Psionic blast would.
