Deck Description

I am not very good at making decks but I'm pretty good at making alterations so this is an altered version of a deck originally run by MagicmanSam but there were a few changes he made to the main board that I didn't take interest in like turning it american which, for me, slows down the "Tempo" base. I also made my own adjustments with Goblin Electromancer and Epic Experiment AND Ral Zarek. Also it is a pretty cheap deck to make. I've taken it to my local Game Store and went 4-1, me being the four wins. Also Ral Zarek is an experiment but so far I am liking him a lot. My brother currently runs mono-black and selesnya aggro which are two of this decks worst match-ups and so far I usually go 1-2 or 2-1. It trades back and forth.

ALSO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE ORIGINAL BUILD OF THIS DECK, CHECK OUT MAGICMANSAM'S VIDEO ON IZZET TEMPO DECK TECH. YOU ALSO GET TO SEE HIS VERSION (THE ORIGINAL) IN ACTION!!!!!!!!

How to Play

OVERALL:
So you definitely want an early game Young Pyromancer or enough removal and counter in your opening hand to keep pace with the opponent. There are a lot of win conditions in this deck. Hidden Strings plus Guttersnipe allows for the first trigger of 2 damage, then tap their creatures, swing in for two, hidden strings triggers and THEN another two damage. Plus untap your mana for more counter and removal spells and if you have Pyromancer on the field that is two more tokens with the potential for more. Turn and Burn is a must. First turn an attacking creature, put out a token with Pyromancer and then block said creature. Steam augury keeps filling the graveyard for your spellheart chimera and, if they choose to, puts A LOT of spells into your hand which potentially can win the game either way the opponent chooses.

MY CHANGES:
First off, electromancer. A turn three Steam augury is very powerful. A one mana Hidden Strings gets you extra mana and a four mana Turn AND Burn is ridiculously powerful. Now I kept Quicken because it helps to carve out the deck for just one mana and feed to the chimera's power. Epic Experiment, for six mana, draw into a steam augury and from there, you pretty much win the game. PLUS all the triggers from the casted Experiment makes it extremely potent. Ral Zarek is a permanent way for Chimera to get through or anything else you need to swing with.

SIDEBOARD: *IMPORTANT*
This is the most important part of the deck. It is extremely hard to win game one with this deck but with the proper sideboarding you can easily topple almost any deck (except if they have a pesky voice out). Remember, your gonna move half the sideboard into the mainboard for Mono-black which is one of this deck's worst match-ups. I find G/R monsters to be a pain too so any suggestions on how to make that match-up better are welcome. Stupid Sylvan Caryatid.

Deck discussion for Is it Tempo? YES

I've been watching TheMagicManSam's videos too.
for Goblin electromancer, I am pretty sure it can only bring fused spells down 1 cost. so it is 4 not 3 mana for turn//burn.
Other than that, the seems pretty spot on... but im not too great myself :S
what are your thoughts on the Satyr FireDancer?

yea i forgot it only brings it down one. my bad. will fix. I want to run satyr firedancer but I think I would need consistent burn to make him work. Probably not good for this deck BUT we'll see. I'll prolly make a seperate Mono- Red burn deck to run him. Four Chandra Phoenix, Pyromancer and Firedancer and a whole hell of a lot of burn.
