R/G infect (help please)

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This is my actual deck. I'm fairly new to the newer editions of mtg (I played when I was in elementary school). It's fast. Red to burn creatures and green to pump the little infect critters. PLEASE give suggestions of cards or whatever :)

Deck discussion for R/G infect (help please)

I can provide a link to this great r/g infect deck that has a possible second turn win but by the looks of it your deck is very similar to the one i'd link as well. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=187718

I would recommend taking out the Primal Bellow because of the fact that your running dual land so you most likely won't get the full effect of it as you might hope. Now what to replace it with i don't know

Now that you mention it, it does seem that the primal bellows have been doing me very little in terms of winning a match. There are 4 primal bellows, so should I add some more creatures in? (I realize I need more ichorclaw and the owner of the card shop I patron is getting some soon for me)

agreed with rtother54, the primal bellow will have no effect. your goal is to win by turn 4, i run a u/g infect deck at a legacy tournament and i go about 50/50, losses usually contend to lack of creatures, not being outright beaten. i also suggest putting in Invigorate instead of the groundswell.
also get 4 inkmoth nexus into the deck, they are game changers because people usually do not have any defense against flying. The ichorclaw myr is better than the necropede, so do 4 ichorclaw and 2 necropedes

I completely see where your coming from with the lack of creatures. I played my first friday night magic using this deck and the reason I didn't do so hot was because I couldnt get off creatures. Thank you so much!

Also, I'm trying to play it standard and it seems that, though invigorate seems perfect, it doesn't fit the bill. Any other suggestions.

Fallen Ferromancer is too slow to be competitive. 4 Volt Charges so you can proliferate.

I run a strait green infect deck and with all the pump spells I have, Livewire Lash has become an awesome addition to my deck :p

I suggest replacing Primal Bellow with Giant Growth (or even Titanic Growth from M12)
