Deck discussion for liliana's vengeance

Painful Quandary does not have very good synergy with Liliana's Caress. Think of it this way, having 2 or more Liliana's Caress on the battlefield pretty much makes Painful Quandary useless, the opponent is going to lose life regardless so why bother discarding the card? You'll find a lot more synergy in running Liliana's Caress with Bloodchief Ascension or Quest for the Nihil Stone. Having said that, Painful Quandary is still quite a powerful card. I wouldn't recommend dropping it unless you have any of the other cards I mentioned above. (Bloodchief also works awesomely with Horrifying Revelation)

Fetch lands in mono black only work well if they're fast (Verdant Catacombs, Marsh Flats, Bloodstained Mire, and Polluted Delta), because they do not disrupt your speed (they do not ETB tapped) and they thin your library for better card draws.. or if you're running Bloodghast, which is amazing battlefield advantage when it returns from the graveyard. Since you're not running Bloodghast, and presumably you do not own any of the fast fetches, it'd be better to just run all swamps.

Duress is great if you need to remove threat cards from a specific kind of deck (IE, combatting control) otherwise, Inquisition of Kozilek is almost always a better choice. And finally, I suggest running at least one Mind Sludge

Hope this helps ^-^

Ooh! Also, I've been in love with the discard theme since about when I started playing. This is the latest discard deck I've been running for the past few months, check it out :)
