I wanted to make a mono-black commander deck, but what theme would it be? Zombies of course! I'm sure there are better cards for some of the picks I have ... many, like Appetite for Brains, are there for 100% flavor. Eventually I'd like to have all of the forms of Liliana in this deck as well. What's a zombie deck without Liliana?
This deck surprises me every time I play it. Sometime's I'll win with a massive horde of zombies. Other times it will come down to an unstoppable, massive Soulless One. Another time I will end of reanimating my opponents creatures and winning with the zombified versions of those! Perhaps the most sudden and unexpected ways for this deck to win is a surprise drop of Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Between Cabal Coffers, Shrine to Nyx, and Liliana of The Dark Realms there is a huge potential for common huge mana bases ... and ways to use it. I've finished many games with massive life drains or even a damnable pact on my opponent. There are a lot of win conditions here.
