Deck Description

vershion 2 of my deck, Land Discard. i have taken the original strategy (play Siesmic Assult, then Tresure Hunt, hopefuly drawing lots of lands, which then are used as free Shocks to either wipe the board or swing at the oponent), and added Contryside Crusher and Fling. this means that when Countryside Crusher is played, it will force the deck into it's combo. and it will also run into Fling, the second combo. comments, suggestions, and criticism are greatly appreciated. the cards on Sideboard that only have one copy are just cards that would be good in this deck.

Deck discussion for Land DIscard V2

Not much different from the other one, but there's really not much you could change to this sort of deck could you? I really like the concept and there are 2 realistic win conditions and, though they conflict with each other a small bit, they are both achievable and rather quick. It seems as if even given just a mediocre hand you could still easily win by turn 6 or 7 provided your spells aren't all just countered (which would blow). I say an 8 for playability, 9 for execution of concept. Sorry I didn't have much to say about improving it.

ya, when i first thought of this change, i thought that the win conditions would conflict too much. but here's the thing -- the only Countryside Crusher win hurts the other, but it guarantees getting a treasure hunt, which is then played to soak up more land, and possibly a fling, to send them over the top. so it actualy helps almost always more than it hurts! but i've noticed that this deck would be overly voulnerable to counters, just as you have said. but i think that if i just play it differently (by actualy playing more than three lands), i should be able to avoid mana leaks, which are the new favorite counterspell. thank's for the comment and rating.
