Deck discussion for New Boros

Oust is kind of bad, as if Punishing Fire. You'd be better off with Flame Slash and Journey to Nowhere for removal.

How often do those Titans see play? I think you'd be better off with Kor Skyfisher.

Mana base looks a little light on fetches, and it count stand to replace a few mountains with Teetering Peaks.

How often do you have 30+ life? I think Adventuring Gear would serve you better than Ascendent.

Ajani is an interesting addition.

I agree with everything the guy above me posted. (I personally like 2 terramorphic expanses over teeterings)

If you want to go boros, you have to go all the way with the fetches in T2.

The Serra's and titans don't match borors at all which is considered an "aggro" deck. A very fast one at that. You'll never hit 30 life.

One of the main points in T2 boros is having Stoneforge mystics to quicky get out the equipment you need for that situation. Sword of body and mind and adventuring gear and even basilisk collar works very well with that.

Also, Oust and Punishing may synergize with each other but not with this deck.

The one positive I did see in here that could be played in T2 boros is the Ajani.

There's so much more I could say but I'll leave it at that.

I agree, fetches are a little light, and the ascendants are not too useful, even when ajani is in play, im using his serra/anthem abilty repeatedly thus rarely reaching +30 life, i've tried to make more of a mid-range deck and dilute the agro for more board control & life gain and maybe it won't work. I like oust, delaying their draw and removing an early creature that is probably there for early game advantage is good, many argue that they draw the creaure again, but making them draw their BoP or Bloodghast again a couple turns down the track isn't a major concern.. However, aggro isn't my forte and I want to try and make more of a mid-range W/R, however you are both 100% right.. I wan't to utilise Sun titan, sparkmages, basilisk collars etc. more so than the aggro theme.. and btw, Ajani is great, having a stackable glorious anthem with serra's blessing is pretty cool.
