Main Deck (60 cards)

Creatures (28)

Instants (4)

Land (20)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I have never seen a deck like this before but i don't see how it can lose!
Any ideas are welcome because i need these rats bigger and get them out faster.

memoricide, thought hemorrhage, cranial extraction, surgical extraction, haunting echoes... the list goes on.. this deck is about as beatable as a red-headed step-child.

Counterbore works, a friend of mine almost got punched in the face for doing that to a variation of this deck, but if you want to be a real jerk pull out a moat on it.

I have this deck has well. I remember when the rats first came out I immediately used my 4 thrumming stones for it. The only suggestion that I have is patriarch's bidding

Great idea but you may want to add some Pithing Needles in your sideboard. Because when the Relentless Rats were released I put together a deck of them, playing another black deck they brought out a Shimian Specter on turn 2 with a Dark Ritual and then attacked well, being rats can't fly he got a hit on me and low and behold I had a rat in my hand, well there they all went having only the single one in play, then my turns were only followed by a couple spells and lands. Plus, the release of Memoricide and if they play a Haunting Echoes rats will be removed and you will only be able to sit back while you take damage.

ok minus coat of arms add door of destinies same affect but works for just u. minuse some relent add a marrow gnawer or two. he is prob the best rat card ever made imo. i will post a link to my rats nest so u can get some ideas.

I just added door of destinies instead of taking out coat of arms I took out 4 rats. I need the rats as big as possible.

0

that could work. the coat is an ok card but it does help out ur opp too. keep that in mind when u play that card. sometimes its a matter of knowing when to play it.

I have this deck but I took out the coat of arms because they are a bit redundant since they can help out opponents. Add Thrumming stones and Patriarch's Bidding and it will be damn near close to unbeatable. When I first say relentless rats I had this exact idea but with Thrumming stone to put the nail in the coffin. I can have each rat out by turn 4 and have them all be 49/49 so that is 24 49/49 rats on turn 4!. I also have Bad Moons in the deck as well. Its real quick and simple turn 1: swamp, turn 2: swamp, dark ritual, door of destinies, turn 3: swamp, dark ritual, thrumming stone, turn 4: relentless rats and than all of them should come out of the deck unless I am very unlucky. So by turn 4 I have played a total of 8 cards and hopefully I drew 4 cards as well so the chances of having the right 8 out of 11 is more than possible but still not perfect.

Just to clarify, you need thrumming stone if speed is what you require. With two dark rituals you can have one out on turn 1 and than with an additional dark ritual you can have all the rats out on turn 2. This has happened to me as well.

Thanks! I added thrumming stone but if you can get it out, there's no need for the others sooooo I didn't put them in.

this deck is great, but there is an easy way to take this down on turn 1. Your opponent could play thoughtseize and then surgical extraction, exiling all of the relentless rats from everywhere.

0

how could they play cranial extraction on the first turn??!?!?!?!!?!?!?

0

Surgical extraction is 1 phyrexian mana, meaning he can pay 2 life for it

I don't play two headed giant........ But if your opponent was playing a sliver deck, I'm pretty sure every sliver card says "all slivers ......." but I'm not going to have a sideboard.

You guys are all about the few cards that could beat this deck i would be surprised to see you guys come back from 3rd or 4th turn most of the games with one of the cards that you have named that could exil all of the creatures it is just high improbible

Also u could have a side board with pell counter and that would fix that problem as well

Haunting Echos, Memoricide, Cranial Extraction, Surgical Extraction, Counterbore, Shimian Specter, Extirpate, Lobotomy, Circu, Dimir Lobotomist... to a lesser extent, Maelstrom Pulse, Scalpelexis, Leyline of Singularity, Echoing Truth, Chalice of the Void, Hint of Insanity... umm... Pithing Needle, Phyrexian Revoker, Runed Halo...

The bulk of these cards are key pieces to certain legacy decks, which wouldn't even blink at this deck... and there's still many more 1-card solutions that could ruin this. I'm not saying that to put this deck down, it's a fun build, and has explosive results with the right hand. I'm just saying that you, Sagonheart, would be surprised how vulnerable it really is.

To Burnfreak, I'd suggest 4x Diabolic Intent to tutor out your Thrumming Stones. Without them, this deck is just slow and easy to control. So whatever you can do to help get them into play ASAP will make this deck better.

i have an entire deck based around extraction. how could i possibly lose to a ravenous rats deck??? so yea i do name cards that could beat this deck simply because i own them and can play them. so i do see how this deck can lose.

I agree with savage on this, i have had almost the same deck, tweeked a bunch, with akroma's memorial, vampiric tutors, demonic tutors, kill spells, dark rituals as well as cabal rituals, and even with me having my cards when i want and the mana to do it all, I still have had this deck killed off in one card annihilation, wrath of god, damnation, silent arbiter, Maelstrom Pulse, crawl space, dawn elemental + pariah,(k thats two but you get the picture), anyways the only reason why I am posting to this is cause it was called the unbeatable, unfortunately this is not the case. A cool deck, fun to play with usually, but still easily beatable.

Renlentless Rats = #1 card that makes beginner's make horrible decks...

It's an awful concept. You get beat by control, fast aggro (your creatures are all 3 drops, though I understand you have Dark Ritual). It doesn't work. Sorry, nice try though. Maybe you'll win against some other awful deck. I'm not trying to insult your deckbuilding abilities here, just saying that the card is awful and while it wants a deck built around it, the decks are always horrible.

Neat idea though with the Thrumming Stone, still doesn't work though.

Exclusion Ritual? Surgical Extraction? Either of those happen and you're doomed.

0

Ratchet Bomb, Exlusion Ritual, Surgical Extraction...all could be bad, but i had a deck similar to this in mind but never built it cuz it just seemed unrealistic. I was going to use doubling chants instead of door of destinies. You could use Elixir of Immortality to save you from any of those, obviously Surgical exiles the card but if you leave the mana untapped for the elixir its ability would go on the stack and resolve first, leaving nothing for Surgical Extraction to "extract." as a matter of fact im going to post my deck

get a plauge of vermin into this deck what u do is you and your opponent take turns paying life until 1 player pays 0 life and for however much life u spent you summon that many rats so when you summon that token and you have thrumming stone on the field pay 7 life and you can summon all of your rats
