Deck Description

I've always been a fan of tribal decks. Back in the early 90's I used to play them a lot. I just got back into Magic again after my 3rd or 4th hiatus. Been playing a lot of standard lately so decided to put a tribal deck together. I've actually had this deck for about 5 month's, recently making some changes with BFZ coming into play.

How to Play

This deck is pretty simple, but there are a lot of hidden combo's and tricks. Lay down as many warriors as fast as possible. There are a few removal spells for defense and emergencies (crackling doom for the biggest threat) (utter end for enchantments, planes walkers etc.). Arashin Foremost will allow a warrior to double strike and if the board is open Zurgo hitting for 14 isn't bad. Gideon makes all your warriors bigger. When it gets to turn 5 or 6 you can hold back wait until he passes the turn, secure the waste for 5 or 6 warrior tokens at the end of his turn. Untap, draw, attack with everything... Hopefully your tokens are 2/2 if you've popped Gideon for an emblem. You can cast a Foul-Tongue Shriek if you have it and make them lose 5-7 more life and you gain that life! Sorin can make all your warriors have life link and +1!! There is always something different you can do each game with the way, order, and type of warrior you play etc.

Deck discussion for STD MARDU WARRIORS

I've had this deck for a while. Just made some changes with BFZ coming in. Very aggressive and fun deck to play. I'm surprised at how competitive it can be if played correctly. Enjoy.
