Can I use Hero's Downfall to remove one of Nissa's land creatures? I know it wouldn't destroy the land, but would it destroy the creature?

if the land is a creature, it would be destroyed and sent to the graveyard if you cast hero's downfall on it, thus reducing your opponents land count by 1
