anyone know why this is banned/restricted and if rumors are true that it's being put on banned list for edh?

It gives you 2 mana for one, which can spiral off into obscene amounts of combos...why would it not be bannned or restricted? Its straight 2 mana for nothing.
It will probably lead to a turn two 4 drop, this can win games with an agro edh deck like krenko, the mob boss
has the card been officially added to the edh banned list? if so why put it in the pre-made commander 2014 decks. also any know if there's an up-to-date site listing the banned cards?
Considering Sol ring is a staple in almost every commander deck and only one of any card could be ran, it's not getting banned for a LONG time or EVER.
