the khalni gems arent necessary because you combo can create any color mana
i only need one of each of them because i draw to get anything i need with mindsprings. they are a part of the combo. i cant do it with out them.

i see the khalni gem, training grounds, and filigree sages combo, but how is it turn 2?
Type 2, not turn 2. And it's an ok deck, just a one trick pony though.
oh and a comet storm would be amazing in this deck
they showed that combo on the magic show
i like crab umbra + harabaz druid sure its 2 colors and you need 3 other creatures out for the druid
it was just a funny idea, its not really that effective in standard right now with all of the control and counters around.
