Thanks for your input! The deck is actually more intuitive than just tap hidetsugu nuke the field. You have to time it so that you yourself don't die in the process. Being at an odd life total helps as you pointed out. Lifelink is also a big thing which is why I wanna add batterskull as an addition to LWH and Basilisk collar. You can fetch any of them with Godo which is nice. And yeah bitterfeud is one card I'm considering replacing with batterskull.

bakaburger1 feel free to make your own version with all those cards included in it ;). Nobody's stoppin' ya.
Yep I considered it, but its hefty price tag kind of got in the way. Just wanted to create a basic, budget build and the 4x contaminated ground and 4x evil presence will hopefully provide swampwalk fuel :)
Thanks for the suggestions. I took notice of furnace of rath and yeah it would probably hurt me more than help. Sure it could potentially combo off of visions well but not always. Instead i opted for exquisite blood...because all the damage that would be dealt off of fevered visions I'd gain in life. Also works super well with venser's journal. Also, decided to add Vexing devil into the mix because it just adds in an extra clock of damage the opponent would have to deal with. Exhaustion is basically a tempo stopper for the opponent. Every turn matters in modern, and potentially denying them a turn can mean the difference between a win and a loss. So in my opinion it is a necessary evil to gain the upper hand :).
Looks good :)
Good recommendations. Anger of the gods is certainly a must for the SB...maybe even MB. It can deal with affinity and most fast creature decks. I will also consider putting in Goblin Dark-dwellers. It brings a lot of value being able to recycle your molten/stone rains. I think that Demigod works great as just a 5-mana 5/4 flying beater. Beating down the opponent isn't the main strategy of this deck...looting and pillaging lands is :)
Alright, I get what your deck is trying to do. You are more set on mana disruption and using mana ramp to establish a board presence to put pressure on the opponent-by making sure you have access to the mana you need, and denying access to your opponent. This deck is basically denying your opponent lands, period. A turn-1 ghost quarter, turn-2 contaminated ground, and turn-3 fulminator/blood moon/crucible of worlds is no joke. You can ensure your opponent has no mana for the entire game.
"Crumble to Dust" looks sweet though!
It looks aggressive but seems like a more mid-range aggro type deck with some land destruction tossed in. It has a little mana ramp, a few big creatures, some removal splashed in, etc. It doesn't look like a bad deck. It's just this one is all-in on land destruction. 4 crucibles+4 ghost quarters and 4x fulminator mage...recipe for destruction.
Okay I'll check it out. What does it do that makes it better?
Haha that is one I definitely overlooked. Great suggestion!
Yeah that's a good idea, it is more suited for the sideboard.
Ok-thanks for clarifying. What do you think of the deck?
BTW I haven't yet played this deck, so I have no idea how it would hold up in a match.
And correct me if I'm wrong but i'm pretty sure Sanctum will still trigger if a colorless 7 drop or higher is cast from the library and not the hand. It is still being cast.
You are right about Treasure Mage, it didn't quite fit the strategy. I replaced it with fauna shaman instead because it will help tutor for an energy dork to activate marvel. So to your point, if i had an emrakul or ulamog in hand i could discard one of them with fauna shaman, search for a sage or servant for energy, and then build up energy to active aetherworks. There's enough energy producers to pop it and there will undoubtedly be another emrakul/ulamog/wurmcoil somewhere which can be cast from the library-not the hand. So that's my reasoning.
