yeah its definitely something I had to have a long think about, however I guess you can choose between them. You could also defend with herald on the opponents attack phase and get it killed it off, then on your next 2nd main phase after attacking with other warriors play the dragonscale general, bolstering the 1 creature (with least toughness) that you didn't attack with so it can defend the next turn.Herald is definitely an early game card for me, keeps you defending, whilst still attacking until your ready to to pump 1/1 counters on creatures and make your final play.
