Deck Description

Breakdown:

Alright, It takes somewhat of a mana-ramp and a search engine, pulling with Green Sun's the blue-green creatures needed to start terrorizing with Shorecrasher and the like. Pumping with Murkfiend and Favor of Overbeing. Recycling Oracle with Nulltread, there's lots of options for switching out cards. Personally, I found a complete Simic(graft) theme too slow, and not quite as effective as I solitared those variants.

Deck discussion for Simic Search

Damn. The only thing I'd probably want to change is a remand for a counterspell, as when i counter something, usually it's because I want it dead before it sees play but.. I guess you do get to draw a card which is crucial for such a low mana cost deck.

I dont know, there isn't a lot I can fault about this o_O

Haha, that's ACTUALLY something I debated about for awhile, as I saw alot of net decks using stuff like Remand, Rewind, Dissipate, etc...

The idea with Remand is yes, card advantage. Which like you said, is important in a low cost mana ramper (to search for Murkfiend). But also it's a replayer. it forces opponents to play the spell AGAIN a turn later, and it delays their strategy a bit, you know? That's a total of two turns I've delayed their original plan, and mana supply. Sure there's a board change, but if they were playing a killspell? I would've hit them last turn. If they were playing a creature? I would've hit them last turn, and it still has the summoning sickness to deal with this turn along with the fact of more drained mana.

This is just a litte casual deck I'm making~ Completely original, no net decks on this one.
But maybe you're right. I'm thinking on adding a Rewind, although at four cost, this IS a dual mana ramper deck, to say the least, AND my lands get untapped if I have the four, so it's like I played it for free, and I can throw another guy down after it resolves. Perhaps it really does need at least solid couterspell...
