Deck Description

This deck allows the strength of wither to show through along with its overpowered counterpart, infect. Wither is very interesting to work with, especially with Necroskitter toying around in stealing all those creatures. This is my casual play deck. It's funny to play in multiplayer if the Black Sun is timed right with the right field. It's all about gnashing at your opponents creatures and inviting them on over to your field. This is a pretty good budget deck, as well.

One of the major debates that I have had is the placement of Soul Snuffers. As he weakens himself, with his ability in the slight sense. But he absolutely delivers in the fact he puts -1/-1 counters on everything immediately. Which is very important.

While making this deck, I realize an important thing: having alongside a good mana curve, to always have something to do with your mana. It allows the deck to do much more with your land drops. We could say that Contagion Clasp is a very good example. At first, it doesn't do much, yet becomes very effective in a longer dragged out game. Which is exactly what this deck shoots for, in a unique type of control. One could possibly switch out 2x Banshee for 2x Contagion Engine, but I kept Banshee in as this deck needs creature presence, and Wither creatures can be somewhat limited in working with a good mana curve.

Deck discussion for Wither Whispers

I LOVE IT! All creatures have WITHER, but not the INFECT! (I don't like infect because it makes those stupid poison counters to the players.) Good deck build, enough cheap creatures, and that spell, Scar, is very good. Good work. Indeed...

I just have maybe one card you should add here. Try out Contagion Engine.

Hmmm.... I COULD try Contagion Engine. But it's just so expensive at 6 mana costing, and then having to pay another 4. I can see how it does versus Banshee though. Hmm...

I don't really like Screams from Within and Blowfly Infestation since they risk your creatures. I would replace them with Grim Affliction and one more Black Sun's Zenith.

Blowfly is yeah, kinda average, now that I would think about it, as it would depend upon the kind of deck... I really like grim affliction though. That thing has an immediate ability, and then a proliferation. Along with what Warlord said, I'm gonna see if Contagion engine would work. but that's 10 mana to double proliferate... Decisions. But the best perk about this deck is that even if I make changes, this thing is still under $50. Which is nice. I don't like playing decks that go above double digits. Unless they would be really worth the investment, I'm so cautious about that. Like, I've seen commander and legacy decks range into 500-1800 dollar range. That's why budget can be so important, and almost nearly as effective.

For example, it's not that expensive to acquire a full set of Necroskitters. in fact, that's just what makes about 20 of the deck's cost. Not too much. The main thing I was wondering if the deck was a bit light on creatures...
