The deck is a combo deck with emrakul as the win condition. The deck can go off on turn 3 pretty easily with a lotus bloom and usually kills turns 3-6. The tron pieces help against mana leak and provide an alternative way to cast emrakul as well as helping with casting open the vaults.
The key to the deck is KCI and all the cheap artifacts that let you draw cards and add colored mana. Basically the idea of the deck is to get kci out sac artifacts and cast emrakul to win. Open the vaults helps by recurring the artifacts for more mana and draws. The tron pieces help against counters as well as providing another way to get emrakul out early.
