Why even bother posting a deck like this if you know it is unoriginal? Are you trying to get negative replies?

its not actually unoriginal. it was a sarcastic remark. shivan meteor + torchling = 13 damage to opponent for 6 or 4 mana. not unoriginal if you ask me.

I don't think that would work cherub you have to switch it to a legal target so you can't redirect the damage, even if you could shivan meteor should be countered at resolution as it no longer has a legal target! I'll look it up to be sure but ya I don't think that works.

Once you added fork you made this a vintage/legacy deck and thus very underpowered for that format.

thats true about fork but for casual play it wont matter much. also im pretty sure that since torchling says "any target" that it would work.

I asked the judges at StarCityGames and they said Torchlings ability has to target a legal target so Shivan Meteor plus Torchling would NOT allow you to redirect the damage to a player. They said it's a fundamental rule with retargeting just like you can't play a terror targeting an enchantment (That's not been turned into a creature obviously)!
