Deck Description

WOAH!First time on first page...i'm just super happy :) thanks to everyone who spent a minute having a look at the deck!!!! :D

Let your dogs grow big with exalted and rush of blood, a nice starting hand could end up with:

- turn 5 goblin tunneler on dogs, with 2 exalted creatures they hit 6 unblockable damage, then fling and reverberate for 24 damage total (if you just have one exalted creature you are still going to hit for 20)

- same schema, but with rush of blood + fling for 24 dmg or rush of blood + reverberate again hitting for 24 (same here if you only have 1 exalted creature apart dogs you are still dealing 20 dmg)

You are still able to strike hard even without dogs: 2 or 3 exalted creatues, reverberate and rush of blood it's a difficult attack to survive to!

Murder, Barter in Blood (a viable option to deal with creatures is also fling + undying evil on sac creature) and O-Rings help you removing your opponents menaces!

I think it could work, casual play speaking :)

Edit 1
removed 1 plain, 2 mountains and a swamp
added 2 Clifftop Retreat , 2 Dragonskull Summit
for a real budget version trade those lands for terramorphic expanses

Deck discussion for Exalted Dogs

Nice Value! For that price, its way more than worth it, Especially if someone is relatively new and looking for something they can understand AND still be deadly with. I may just buy a copy of this for Training purposes :)
(I'm gradually building up the player base in my area and im always looking for Solid Cheap Decks)

It should come in within a few days and ill start playtesting it. I like it because its basic, and you can play it just by tossing out creatures and hoping you played the instants and sorcs right, but the longer you play, the more places you see to use everything. Its got lots of different abilities that new players can try their hand at mastering, and it has a wide enough creature base to give them a big, but not too big, taste of what Magic has to offer. I may tinker around with it and see if i can upgrade it a little, and if what i do works ill give you the change log and let you see if you like it.
I'd definitely call it a well worth it purchase :)

:) in your first message, when you say "I'm gradually building up the player base in my area" it means you are promoting the game in your area or that you rule a club or something similar?because that's great man!!keep it real! :)

It means that im introducing the game to as many people as possible, and teaching the ones who already know about it how to do better. Where i live is VERY Rural....My home town has a population of 94 people. Only about 30% of us even have the internet. I lived in Seattle for a while, and played against a bunch of Tournament players, who were absolutely amazing...So i came back to Arkansas with a whole new love of the game, over 90k cards to my name, and a vastly improved skill set. Now im trying to get as many people as i can to understand, appreciate, and play MTG.....Eventual if i get enough people, im hoping for a Gaming League, or maybe i'll become a DCI Judge and host my own events.

that's amazing and good luck with your project!knowledge sharing, even for a game, is a valuable thing and should be supported, that's why i'm proud to have a little part in this ;)

I wonder. Is Cockatrice supported in Italy? If it is, that would be great. Even though we live nowhere near each other, we could still play each other and it's free. http://cockatrice.de/index.php?a=download. Like the deck chevantron19. Best of luck with your project Aigloblam(a friend of mine did the same thing so I know you can do it). Lets play a game sometime. Keep me posted.

Oh thanks KJSJ3, first time we meet here but i saw so many beatiful decks from you, and receiving your "ok man, good job" it's a pleasure!and 37 is the best result in iikes term i got here!i'm excited :) going to check Cockatrice as soon as i have some time (work is killing me in last weeks) and in case it is supported we can play some games! From last time i've post i've modified the deck, removing white...i think the deck is more balanced without white, and 3 copies of reverberate are too much (often you find yourself without the 3 red mana needed to cast both reverberate and fling/rush of blood). Still have to do some play test then i'll post current deck version!thanks again for your comment!

Deck suggestion - Get rid of murder and put in tragic slip. Between the "fling"ing and the sacrificing, tragic slip should be able to go off to its fullest potential, deal with indestructible creatures, and lower the mana curb of your deck. Alternatively you can use it on turn one to deal with annoying opening creatures like birds of paradise.

I did the same thing as Aiglo, building up a player base, when I was in uni. Went to a private school with about 400 students and ended up with about 3/4 of the guys on campus owning a deck by the end of the year!

I agree that having simple decks that you can stumble through but still end up powerful with is important, and this deck certainly fits the bill perfectly. Even without remembering that "I should target dogs with tunneler, attack, then fling" you can still swing for a lot of damage! I'm amazed at how inexpensive this deck is so yeah, I agree, it's perfect learner's deck and great for casual play even with advanced players! (I'm all about the casual play).

I'm def going to add this to my cockatrice net deck list. If you like casual multiplayer, look me up! Same name as on here.

And while you're at it, I'd love for some of you guys to check out and comment on any of my decks. The two linked are my most popular so far, I would love for one of em' (or both) to make the front page eventually. Both are combo decks (non infinite) and not nearly as simple to play as this deck.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381549 - "Fat Fat Fatty" A deck based around controlling the entire field (even in multiplayer) through multiple possible creature combos, and bringing out the biggest most unfair creatures from every color and age of the game.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381605 - "You didn't see it coming..." A theme deck based around exploiting one of my favorite and most underrated cards of all time, Nacatl War Pride. If Nacatl swings for one attack at any player, you can instantly kill every player on a 4 player board before the damage step.

Thanks Beowulf, for both suggestion (i give 5 star for tragic slip suggestion) and well well done with your task about spreading this awesone game in your university...ehm maybe the draw back was less students studying, but we know...how can you resist to Magic magical attraction?? :D

And you're right, i think this deck is perfect for beginners which can experment different mechanics and learn step by step how a game can/should be played!
I'm really happy didn't expect this "success", but hey i'm lovin it!as soon as i'll be at home from work i'll have a look to yours decks, which you posted above :)

thanks again!

Sweet! My suggestion got 5 stars. :D

Thanks for taking a look at my decks! One is on the front page and the other is in the upcoming page. Makes me pretty happy seeing as I've only been on here for less than a week. I know I've got lots of comments, but I had two extra days off due to unforeseen circumstances and made a hobby of working on people's decks.

Anyway, congrats on the front page, we're in good company! Cheers!

I'd add a few terramorphic expanses keeps it budget but gives that mana fix your going to need in tri colors

- 3 plains
- 5 mountains
- 10 swamps

I like this deck. I love mortis dogs, such an under rated card!!! I have one similar... Kind of... Mine uses battlecry instead of exalted. I think you might have q better, more rounded setup than I do though. Very well done. :)

my first attempt was based on battle cry aswell, but with the cards i own wasn't able to build a decent deck, so the idea was abandoned until exalted shows up with m13!

A little bit to the budget, but $5 a piece for two Cathedral of War could make a huge difference in chip damage.

Any more than two would probably kill your mana base I imagine.

Hey I really like this deck, I've been playing Exalted black mono and it's worked for me. But I gave this a try and played around with it. Tell me what you think, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=382353

This is really good! Doesn't even break a $20 if you go to the right place, and can still smack some people around!

My Standard is more of a Blink style deck, but one of the win conditions is exalted. Very op ability!
Take a look man, and tell me what you think. :]

yes of course but didn't have any of them, i'ma really casual player so it's a rare thing for me buying cards i don't own...i usually buy boosters and trade cards :) but as soon as i can get my hands of Cathedrals they will take place into the deck immediately!! :)
For the rest i'm happy you like the deck :)

I loved this deck it looked so fun, but sadly I didn't have the lands and everything else so I made a super cheap version to do it I had to take out white sadly but the deck cost on low is below $ 2.50 :) and I still fell like it has a similar kick to your deck may work at least first game in a team game with friends at least :).

Check it out if you like....
