I've always built either casual or modern decks, never tried standard but I'm gonna give it a try, let me know what your thoughts are on it. I really have no idea how it might do against other standard decks as I normally don't play standard with anyone. It seems pretty versatile as i don't have to use that combo to win, I can run with several different strategies depending on what my opponent has going on...
The idea behind this is to combo blood artist, bloodthrone vampire, dying wish, murder investigation, ect..... Build up my creature by sacing my others, sac himself to do one huge amount life loss or get a large amount of tokens which can be sac-ed again. Cartel Aristocrat is just the constant threat to have on the field, attacking every turn with protection.Example of how I was hoping it might work; Bloodthrone has dying wish on it, maybe murder investigation too, blood artist is out, he sacs 3 creatures pumps up to a 7/7 making the opponent lose 3 life, essence harvest for 7 more life, faiths shield for hopefully an unblockable attack for another 7 life, bloodthrone sacs himself making the opponent lose another 8 life and I get 7 1/1 tokens... If i have a cartel out or another creature that sacs creatures i can sac all my tokens for another 7 life....

I like the idea. Take out the Faith's Shields adding another Obzedat. Use 4 of the Godless Shrines and Isolated Chapels if you have them. Essence harvest used on a Desecration Demon with Dying Wish and Murder Investigation on it would be really awesome! It is just a matter of putting those pieces together which may be hard. I'd say drop the Bloodthrone Vampire get a fullset of Bloodflow Connosieurs and Cartel Aristocrats. If your deck is running the way it should I'd remove the Gather the Townsfolk and add 1 more Lingering Souls. You will deffinitely get your tokens worth out of that card alone and then add a couple more removal spells. Vampire Nighthawk isn't a bad idea either just for what it is, but that is optional.Have fun! :)

Thank you for your thoughts, and i completely agree with the lands, im trying to get more without having to pay 50 bucks for a playset haha, same for obzedat, tho i wasnt sure about having 2, ill try it out. Im about to get my last lingering souls, but i like bloodthrone, hes a key to this deck, since he gets pumped +2 with each sac he is a one shot destroy insta kill with dying wish and essence harvest. I appreviate your thoughts tho, ive been trying to get some feedback since i dont know standard as much as the other formats... but thanks i think the demons really helped this deck out too :)
I dont think you need 8 sac engines, I would try something else in place of some of them. A good addition would be something like vizkopa guildmage, her first and second ability together let you push through dmg even when blocked, and you can activate her second ability multiple times to get more from blood artist. Thats just my 2 cents. Nonetheless good deck
I agree, I was thinking about dropping out the cartel artistocrat for something, I thought about the vizkopa guildmage.... But i was thinking about making it another dying wish and another lingering souls, I dont have a 4th lingering souls or dying wish yet but im about to get ahold of both so I was thinking that... thank you for your thoughts and suggestions
hi, i'v been following your deck... i'v just started mtgo and a complete noob and decided to create your deck as it seems fun.could u keep me updated to any changes u make and possibly some stratergies against decks.thx alot
Glad you like the deck :) its a really fun and effective deck from what ive seen playing it. I might try to get in a 4th dying wish, not sure what id take out yet but ill figure it out. This deck has an aggro theme to it hiding a bombshell going off. You hit them with flying tokens and creatures like desecration demon as much as you can, and then with an out of no where big hit pumping bloodthrone up and sacing him for huge damage with dying wish on him or using essence harvest...if needed you can use essense harvest/dying wish/murder investigation on desecration demon too.. blood artist just maximises all the sacing especially if you use murder investigation. Gotta br careful facing control with this, you can still overvome just gotta play carefully
