Deck Description

Quickly play cheap spells to buff kiln fiend, burn their life or creatures, or play elemental appeal and buff it. Large amounts of small spells are played at once (which allows grapeshot to overrun if necessary) and quickly with my instants that get me mana.

First Turn Win Combo:
Turn 1: Land, (either 2 rite of flames or 1 with a desperate and seething song) Kiln fiend, assault strobe, reckless charge.... or elemental appeal, reckless charge, assault strobe...ect...

Deck discussion for Quick Kill Elemental

kiln fiend is crazy., maybe drop the double cleave? maybe more ball lightning or shock?

yea thank you, I've thought about it, I just felt double strike was so key to winning. But the ball lightning might work, Ill try it

awesome manacurve too, this def looks fast. how doas grapeshot do in this? i almost feel you could take that out also, in favor of making a few more playsets of the essentials.

Pretty much the reason I have grapeshot in here is for the mass clear the field effect it has in one card cause of the storm it has with all my low costing spells and pretty much just to super buff kiln fiend in the process. If you have any ideas for what card I could replace it with, I'd like to hear. The mass burn and super buff for kiln fiend seemed to work pretty well for the most part when I've used it, but I'm open to ideas.

don't you have games where you run out of cards in your hand before you finish of your opponent? All the mana acceleration is really bad to draw into when having no other cards.
Smallpox is an awesome card versus your deck.

I do have games every once in a while like that, I generally try not to play every card in my hand at once unless im certain im about to win. If all i can do is like 8 or 10 damage, i generally wait; this of course depends on the deck im facing or If i desperately need to get the opponents life total down for an easier kill. But this deck is def. still in the developmental stages, I'm trying to perfect it and little things like that are what im trying to fix with out slowing it down. I like how fast it works and want to keep it that fast, but im also trying to fix out the kinks in it, as you said like on games when i play my entire hand and havent won yet.
ps. that smallpox card does seem like it would wreck shop, i like it

Nice deck. I tried to make something like this but decided to run blue and red. I am pretty happy with the way its shaping up. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=191771

Take a look, you may get some new ideals for your deck. Personally I feel like you are either running too few creatures or too few burn spells. Since Chandra's Spitfire only triggers when you deal non combat damage I feel like you will have a lot of cards that don't trigger it to pump.
Good luck with the deck!

I wouldnt mind adding in more burns, but i normally get about 2 or 3 in my starting hand, they are prettty miuch only for creature killers so my creatures can attack. but grapeshot is my super buff for chandra spitfire, they other burns just compliment it before i cast it. and thanks for the comment

you might think about adding Manamorphose to the deck. it will help Kiln Fiend, add a spell to grapeshot, you draw a card and you basically get to play the spell for free. :D

I might add that to my sideboard, until i have a chance to play with it in my deck and see how it does =p

I'm kind new here but maybe Tectonic Rift will help you, if you can't kill all the creatures when you burst.

I like the idea, it's pretty good card. Alot of this decks stradegy is winning before 5th turn. which majority of the time it does, but thats why i added chandra spitfire for flying and elemental appeal for its trample

I love kiln fiend so much, it's just such a beast card. One thing my friend does in his pyromancer ascension deck is combine Distortion strike with kiln fiend and the same strategy could be applied here.

Yea i thought about adding blue, but i feel it slows this deck down too much to worry about 2 different colors of mana, depending on the deck im facing my burns should make quick work of any first few turn creatures, if i cant destroy them i have the flying and trample of other cards to fall back on. not to mention grapeshot really superpowers this deck along with past in flames this deck normally overwhelms the opponent very quickly with only like 1 or 2 creatures out haha

hmm this is pretty sweat. i would maybe suggest that u update it with gitaxian probe. it would allow u to draw another card and only cost u 2 life. maybe drop desperate ritual for manamorphose would be a good move to. just some more draw power i think would be like putting a bottle of NOS to this beast.

it would be an interesting rush to duel this vs my Dstorm. i still think u have a better chance of winning more of the duels than me lol. i have been playing for a very long time, but its all a game of chance XD

It's funny you mention gitaxian probe, because i've been thinking for awhile about that. I also thought about manamorphose but I like gitaxian probe alot more for this deck.... I'll think about what I should take out, I dont wanna drop out too many cards like desperate ritual, its a very key card to set this deck off... hmmm I'll think on it, any opinions of what to take out for a few probes?

Like I said I love facing decks like dragonstorm with this deck, its strange cause the game usually doesnt go past turn 4 or 5 but it's such a fun deck to play...even if you win on turn 2 or 3 =p

I've played for a quite a long time as well, and no matter the deck you are right, chance has a large part to it =p

haha wow i guess great minds think alike lol. hmm maybe 2 past in flames and the elemental appeal would be better to drop. maybe just update them into the SB which btw, u have a 5th shock there lol.

yah it deff does. now i might sound completely insane, but i swear sometimes decks have a personality to them. when my bro and i duel, its an interesting trade off. who ever wins round one, usually loses round two but may win round three. its like the deck kinda stands up and says uhhhh no, im going to win this time.. its odd.

as much fun as that would be to battle the decks i think that might be hard to do lol. i live in Alabama in a small town called Arab lol.

A remarkable evil Kiln Fiend deck =D I am currently designing one myself, but I see there's far to the goal line compared. One tips though - don't know if its useable - have you thought of 'Brute Force'? The red Giant Growth, killing for the win since Planar Chaos
=)

Thanks buddy, this deck dominates the majority of matches i use with it, and i thought about brute force, to give kiln fiend a better defense, but reckless charge does the trick and it gives em haste, i usually always give kiln fiend double strike so unless hes getting negged or burned his defense doesnt matter, thanks tho! Send me the link to your kiln fiend deck when its done
