Deck Description

This is my Red/Green Dragon deck. The idea is to mana ramp right from the beginning and push out dragons like a factory. The Dragonspeakers are helpful with cutting the mana costs on the dragons down and with two or three out at once, the dragons cost next to nothing! Asceticism is fantastic as it pretty much gives everything shroud. So far about 80-90% of the time this deck works pretty well and usually gives the opponent a tough fight.

Deck discussion for Dragon

I like this deck and it's theme. I think that i might switch out a couple of the dragons and double up on a few to increase your chances of running them, but its solid overall. I think I would look for more Flameblast and Two-headed dragon, and maybe add Shivan dragon the imperial hellkite. I could see possibly dropping cultivate to 3 and harrow to 3, but both either way they are solid mana ramp. i like dragonmaster outcast, but can't help but wonder if maybe having 2 ascesticism's would be of more use to protect the dragons since outcasts cost so much $ right now. overall good deck.

Thanks for the tip. I think I may look into Shiva because I feel as if Imperial Hellkite isn't going to last long because his morph cost is insane.

Steel hellkite is a amazing artifact dragon for almost everydeck, but seething song and dragonstorm are a must to be worked into this deck

I looked up Steel Hellkite and our right, I DEFINITELY need to invest in on.e. Not sure about Dragonstorm however because with the amount of Dragons I have I'll nearly always pull one very soon and Dragonstorm costs an arm and a leg. It'd be decent later in the game if there was a specific dragon I needed but I'm not totally sold on it yet.

Thinking about changing Llanowar to Birds of Paradise. Any opinions?

Whats the downside? Both cost the same but Birds is far more versatile especially in a dragon deck. Before I stopped playing ages ago I built a dragon deck and am thinking about resurrecting it and I must say you gave me some great ideas.

I'm glad to hear that! Dragon decks are alot of fun my friend. Only issue is that birds costs and arm and a leg. Actually, both arms and a 1.5 legs..

The dragon storms are great. But With the way you have this deck set up you'd have to change your whole theme to work in dragon storm. since you have alot of red dragons may i suggest Koth. He's a great plainswalker if you looking for a huge mana ramp gain. That is if you're in to using plainswalkers. And maybe some fetch lands from Zendikar. They help with deck thinning so you have better chance of drawing the stuff you want. Check out my dragon decks maybe they'll help you with other ideas.
