This deck merely exists because I asked myself: I wonder if I can turn Pestilence into a legitimate Commander win-con? Tymaret, Chosen of Death, isn't known by most players (unlike Erebos) and also can hilariously deal with graveyards. So, I decided to try him out in the driver's seat. I slammed as much hard to manage devotion giving cards in the deck, and just kinda liked the end result. While not the most powerful deck, it is a lot of fun just Pestilence nuking boards with a jank commander. Enjoy.
Tymaret gains toughness for devotion. Cast lots of high black symbol cards that are hard to remove and harder to deal with, like Oppression & No Mercy. Cast Pestilence. Cast Tymaret. Make the board sick as your demigod just dropkicks fools with his cosmic sandals. Use drain effects & life gain to keep our life up while our opponents life totals dwindle. If that fails, we have Gray Merchant, Underworld Hermit, & Abhorrent Overlord to get value off our high devotion and close out games. We also can use Dreadhorde Invasion & Bitterblossom with Vito as another backup.

Very early on in magic there were 4 cards with a pestilence effect, and you got two of them covered.I can see how people would forget about the wumpus, I mean it's a wumpus, and a little limited.There's also the pestilence from ice age that only costs 3 provided you dedicate yourself to snow-covered Swamps. I've forgotten the name of it.

I was gonna do wumpus, but my CMC was getting up there. Plus, Crypt Rats is a nice one time Pestilence nuke.
