Deck Description

Do you want to play Commander without spending hundreds of monies? Do you like mono red decks that do multiple things? Do you like making tokens? Do you like aristocrats? Do you like stealing creatures? Do you like closing games with Goblin Bombardment? Do you like a red deck that actually can play the long game? Then grab your hammers and starting screaming about your dead partner. Anax is back, and he is PISSED that his wife is essentially Keranos's plaything now. So, point the direction to that stormy asshole and let Anax lead the way, it's time to go to war.

How to Play

Not gonna lie, this deck is a package of plentiful plots. Anax generates tokens on our death triggers, so we have aristocrat cards. Anax also cares about devotion, so we have cards to crank his damage up. Since we want creatures, we also have a theft package. Finally, we run death equals damage triggers. So....yeah it's a lot.

The main plan is death triggers. Cards like Gut, Thermopod, and Goblin Bombardment keep our sacrifice engine going so Anax pumps more Satyrs. Cards like Stalking Vengeance and Hissing Iguanar keep whittling life totals as our stuff dies. To help bolster our things to sacrifice, we run cards like Captivating Crew and Hijack to steal creatures and sacrifice them. As we push creatures and make Satyrs, Ogre Battledriver keeps them feisty and fierce. Also, in case we need cards to keep sacrifices going, we run both Squee and a few Phoenix cards we can recur to maintain victory through death.

Win cons include a Passage'd Anax with high damage output, Goblin Bombardment with Rage Thrower, flooding the board with tokens, and Feldon/Etali just winning with value.
