Deck Description

Is EDH too expensive for you? Wanna play a fun deck that doesn't cost a fortune? Then allow me to introduce you to....Poor Man's EDH. For under $75 you can own a cool, powerful, and fun EDH deck that isn't too limited. I was afraid of trying 3 colors at first for budget reasons, but Alesha shows that budget tri-color EDH is not only a thing, but it can be very powerful, even holding an infinite combo in it! Alesha is a fun card that at first I strayed away from due to 2 power or less, but I've come to love Alesha, and I believe she's an exciting Commander that can make any EDH game into a blast for everyone. Enjoy!

How to Play

Alesha, Who Smiles At Death, has faced the bitter end at the worst of odds and laughed as the Horde seized victory again and again. Now, you can stand beside Alesha and conquer your enemies with the Horde! The Horde is a mass of small creatures with powerful abilities, lead by a fearless warrior who can bring them back from death! Whenever Alesha goes to battle, death opens it's doors and returns one a Hordemate to life and at Alesha's side so they may fight as one! This allows you keep the fight in your favor every time Alesha leads the charge, as well as keep the battlefield under your control with your Hordemate's abilities.

The Horde isn't just lead by a powerful leader, but powerful creatures of a variety of races and sizes! Take Mindclaw Shaman into consideration. It's a 2/2 Viashino that steals your opponents instants and sorceries straight from their hand! Or try sizing up Flame-Kin Zealot, an elemental that pumps up all of your Horde when he shows up! There are plenty of outstanding creatures allied with the Horde, and most of them can be returned to battle with Alesha's ability due to having 2 or less power. This may seem a little weak, but there are plenty of pump them up or increase their numbers to overwhelm your adversaries! Or you can achieve victory through a few powerful combos that the Horde has mastered. Using your creatures with persist, cathar's crusade, and a sacrifice outlet, you can pump the Horde to infinite strengths, scry your deck , or deal infinite damage! Persist puts a -1/-1 counter on the creature and returns it to play when it dies, and cathar's crusade puts a +1/+1 counter on all your creatures when a creature enters the battlefield, meaning the -1/-1 counter is nullified by the +1/+1 counter, allowing you to keep sacrificing the persist creature as much as you like! With power like this, who needs a bunch of large menaces when you can have an army of smaller but amazing creatures?!

Of course, a battle isn't won by just sending an army in a direction. You will come across obstacles that can hinder your advance, and you will need to take care of them Horde style: remove it. The Horde brings plenty of ways to remove plenty of problems from their warpath, with an extremely versatile set of removal spells. Plenty of spells in your deck not only remove problem creatures, but lands, artifacts, or enchantments that try to stop your conquest. Wrecking Ball eliminates a creature or a land, helping shut down mana starved enemies, Revoke Existence exiles an artifact or enchantment so it never bothers you again, and Utter End exiles any nonland permanent, giving you a powerful spell that can completely end whatever your opponent might be planning from a variety of angles! Your most powerful answer to your problems is a spell given to the Horde by a powerful priest from Ravnica, Merciless Eviction. It exiles your choice of all artifacts, all enchantments, or all creatures, a perfect answer to all sorts of situations! With all of this powerful removal, the vicious Horde, and Alesha at your command, any enemy is just anoter victim waiting to be stomped under foot!
