Deck Description

a 7 creature swarm deck. Seems legit...

Wanted to make a purphoros swarm deck for a while now. When I split a box of dragons with a friend and got impact tremors, I took it as a sign and got working on this. TOKENS, YAY!

How to Play

Purphoros and impact tremors are two really important pieces in this deck, dealing lots of direct damage when spamming tokens is really fun and is also helpful to finish an opponent off that runs lots of field wipes or anti token measures. Luminarch ascension is great for multiplayer matches (which this is made for, too slow for any really good 1v1) and gives me strong angel tokens. Krenko and assemble the legion because they are token beasts that can kill an opponent off very quickly when I have purphoros or impact tremors out. Cathar's crusade is great in combination with the last two, and will make my field ridiculously powerful. Iroas to provide some protection to attackers and make their blocker numbers cut in half, which helps a lot with all the attackers i'll be having. Intangible virtue because no self respecting token deck with white in it runs without it. And Elspeth because she's the token goddess.

Deck discussion for Purphoros, God of the Tokens

I have a Proteus Staff deck that relies on tokens. Tokens may not be your win condition, but I use certain lands that can be creatures and an isochron scepter with raise the alarm on it to get tokens whenever I want. Isochron may not work for you since you don't run any instant spells though. Just some random ideas. Your deck looks like a fun build though. Great idea.

If Impact Tremors is so important, you should play 4. They are cumulative and relatively cheap, so load up! Also, Secure the Wastes is brilliant paired with Tremors/Purph.
