Deck Description

5 color creature deck that uses Concerted Efforts to build an unstoppable force.

The deck is all about building up to a point of having Protection from almost everything. Gwafa, Malfegor, Stoic Angel, Emrakul and Lord of Shatterskull Pass provide board control to varying degrees.

Diabolic/Demonic Tutors help to draw the exact creatures to combat whatever type of deck you're up against.

Through Protection From Black, White, Red, Converted Mana 3 Or Greater, Creatures, Flying, Island/Forest/Swamp/Plain/Mountain walk via Magnigoth Tree, once the deck gets going there is little to stop it from getting through most defenses and little most offenses can do against it.

Deck discussion for 5 Color Strategic Creature Deck.

This deck is too spread out and useless early game. You need to put in some ways to stall if you want this to work.

I'm not sure what what you mean by "too spread out" exactly. Could you go into more detail please? It lacks duplicate creatures because each of the creatures brings some ability that Concerted Efforts can share, but it has a number of cheap creatures for early game.

It also has stalled opponents decently and without too much trouble. You get a Beloved Chaplin, Samite Elder, Gwafa Hazid, Stoic Angel or Mistmeadow Skulk out early(All of whom are 4 cost or cheaper) and you can stop creature decks in their tracks buying you time. Also Safe Passages are there to buy you a turn or to cause a slaughter when you attack and prevent the damage to YOUR creatures only, killing whoever the opponent blocked with.

What I more worry about - and would love opinions on - is going up against Artifact Decks. I'm considering dropping one Gleeful Sabotage for a Shatterstorm.

There is no way you'll get the cards you'll need if you only have 1 or maybe 2 of each.

What I was thinking though is that against an aggro deck like... goblins, you won't have enough early protection to defend yourself.

Hoardsmelter Dragon is the ultimate answer against artifacts, other than him I don't really know much else about anti-artifact other than the standard naturalize-like spells.

As far as a fast aggressive deck goes, I was concerned about that (mostly Slivers), so I exchanged creatures out and now 13 of the 28 creatures in the deck cost 3 mana or less. So the deck actually gets going decently fast. I almost always keep with Gwafa Hazid or Beloved Chaplin in my opening hand to stall creature decks.

As far as not getting the cards I'll need, that's why there's four seeker cards in the deck to help with that. It's a strategic deck. You need to have get some idea of what you're going up against, so you know what to keep or pull when you use a seeker card, and what you can sacrifice to an attack and what you need to keep.

What kind of stall would you suggest for the deck?

Something like Psychic Miasma would work if you want to go the discard route. Otherwise you could use stuff like lightning bolt and deathmark.
