This is yet quite schematic...

The mana base is off, so you should get the duals you need... ...if you want help maing a perfect mana base for the deck, just contact me anytime... ...20 lands won't be enough for any deck in standard today...

The activation of Spotlight is a good finisher idea, tough it doesn't do much for you since you only have 4 spells total in the main deck that targets a creature... ...besides, Spotlight is a sideboard type of card... ...2 mainboard & 1 in the sideboard is better.......

Mono-black aggro is quite popular these dayes & Doom Blade would be a dead card against it, so you should rather use Dreadbore & Hero's Downfall in the main deck, may be 1 Ultimate Price & 1 Doom Blade in addition... ...you should use a little more removal anywayes... ...may be Mizzium Mortars, or rather Lightning Strike(in fast aggro decks it's better in many situations)... ...may be 2 Mortars & 3 Strike would be fine... ...2 Warleader's Helix may be?... ...Whip of Erebos(2 mainboard, 1 there & 1 sideboard?)... ...don't use Betrayal anywhere!.. ...rather Ultimate Price... ...3 Rakdos's Return is fine & 3 Thoughtseize as well.......

3 Onslaught & 3 Assault is better, than 4-4...

You'll need 22 land for this deck & you should use 1 Mutavault, or rather 23 land & 2 Mutavault... ...Mutavault is great against control decks, but also fine with both Akroan Hoplite & Phlanax Leader...

If you'd rather discard the aggro plot for this deck later & try building it midrange & more control orientated, these 2 decks might be of help to you:

I agree with a lot of this. The deck is mostly an idea however.

A deck that is more in need of a Mana base is my naya slivers deck that I have yet to figure out. Uta a casual deck so the curve is off by a good deal because I need ways to break a stale board and those lie in higher Mana cost spells that in wouldn't usually run without ramp.
