Selesnya Populate (modern)

This was my standard tournament deck back during Return to Ravnica and I recently modernize it.

The deck is designed around useing instant s to keep creature tokens on the field at all times with populate while steadily increasing the number of tokens you have.

I am looking to improve it and make it more competitive in modern, the cards I'm looking at replacing/upgrading are Eyes in the sky, Entreat the Angels, and the planeswalkers

goal of the deck is to always have at least 1 token on the battlefield, this means using instant s and trostani to populate whenever the tokens would die. Also using selesnya charm and advent of the wurm to drop creatures at the end of your opponents turn or to surprise block Is very powerful. The new additions are parallel lives and the planswalkers which will really let the deck kick into high gear to remain powerful late game

Generally

1) play noble hiearch or wait for tapped double land
2) voice of resurgent/selesnya charm for a knight
3-5)play a "force multiplier" card or 2, these include parallel lives, Trostani, and the planeswalkers
Also make sure to have a good token to populate, this usually means playing Advent of the wurm, but Voice's elementals work too

6+) start doing everything on your opponents turn only playing instant s in response to what he does or at the end of his turn to populate,


This is a what I consider a mid-game deck but has some excellent early power(voice, miracle Entreats) and good late game with mass tokens+life gain form trostani
