Deck discussion for Cheap control red

Mycosynth Lattice would be nice. I know this is red but consider adding green. You can change one of their lands to an artifact using Liquimetal Coating and then cast Splinter which then removes all their land of the same name from their hand, library, and graveyard.

it's a good idea, but lattice is more expensive both in $ and CMC
since i dont have much control, i wouldn't last until the 7th turn to be able to cast splinter
so in order to be viable, i would need green ramp(making the deck 3 color would be harder to play or required more expensive land)

Don't use Lattice. Just put in Splinter which would be land removal by turn 4.

I've added 2 splinter and 2 forest
Technically I will be able to search for 2 land of my choice with a wellspring

I do like the idea! Creeping Corrosion looks useful. But it would be risky with your own Artifacts. It would be great with the Gorgon!

not really, it would destroy my mecanic transforming permanent of my oponent in artifact. Vandalblast does better, all artifact i don't control

Ingot Chewer is Technically better than Smelt.
Also what do you think of these.

Manic Vandal
Metallic Mastery
Nacatl Savage

Smelt isa good card because it's an instant in 1
I replaced 2 fury charm for 2 Ingot Chewer since I dont need the other effect of the charm and it cost 2
I dont think i need protection from artifact, my oponent wont keep many artifact(or many permanent, I will tranform hi land in artifact)
I dont like giving back the artifact at the end of turn, i prefer to destroy it
Manic Vandal is an option, maybe having more creature would be good for me, i will keep it in sideboard

I've been working on this deck as well, but I feel i lack damage, any idea?

unless i'm wrong, evoke can only be cast as a sorcery

No you're right. Evoke doesn't change the timing. :)
