Deck discussion for Turn Zero Win: (Illeagal:)

I'm not seeing the combo to win 0. Turn 1 or 2 yes. Enlighten me please. I've stared at this deck for 30 minutes now.

Yeah would be great to know the exact steps in the combo. I mean creating a deck claiming to win in turn 0. and not proving it seems just a waste of time. I'm not saying the deck can't perform. i'm just saying it's rather annoying that there is no explenation.

It's just the protean hulk combo, ive seen quite a few of these. He drops out protean hulk on turn 1 with flash using lotus petals and spiritguides, so he doesnt even need a land, and he doesnt pay the extra cost for flash so he sacrifices protean hulk and searches his library for 4 disiple of the vaults, 4 shifting walls, and 4 phyrexian maraders he doesnt give the wall or the marader a power and toughness so they all die doing 32 loss of life to someone. Im pretty sure tho that protean hulk is banned in all formats, i could be wrong but i thought it was.

Okay. Thanks for the insight on the combo. And if you don't go first you can put out the caverns on their turn to give you the blue mana needed for flash. Gotcha.
Good Game

You play gemstone caverns, remove elvish spirit guide from the game, play flash on protean hulk, it dies, search for 4 disciples of the vault, search for 4 phyrexian marauders and 4 shifting walls, all 8 die, and that is 8 damage EACH from the disciples, which is 32 damage, game over :)

im sorry, but how do you do this with seven cards? lol 1st hand:
hulk, flash, 2 something to cast flash, and than how do you make 7 mana to cast hulk (and sacrifice it) with only 3 cads?

1. island
2. Lotus petal
3. Flash
4. Protean hulk

Thats all you technically need to make this combo work on your opening hand... personally im not a fan of this combo, especially since protean hulk is banned.

You only have to pay 2 for flashes mana cost, and since you dont pay protean hulks mana coat with flash it gets sacrificed as soon as it hits play.

If I'm not mistaken, you play Lotus Petal then Elvish Spirit Guide to get two mana to cast Flash. Cast Flash and play Protean Hulk without paying the additionally needed cost. You sacrifice him and get the other cards needed. The rest is history. No this is not a " turn zero win".

yep it is because u can cast it on a opponents turn, so lotus petal is not actually the card you want for a turn 0 win, elvish or simian spirit guide is what you want in your opening hand.

No no, It clearly states without the first upkeep ever happening in you deck description. That would include your opponent's upkeep. You should change that, it's misleading.

Maybe its not protean hulk thats banned, it might be flash, i know one part of this combo is banned and/or restricted

GeneralM, if you were referring to the deck description, then yes, I agree.

Admittedly I didn't realize you could do this all on your opponent's turn, however I didn't bother looking because of the description.

You guys basically explained the combo of my deck. It can turn 0 win but it's a very lucky hand to do so. To do so, it's required to have a Gemstone Caverns in first hand let the opponent go first and drop it then Chewrida and gh2013 explained the rest. :) Yes protean Hulk is banned but cool to play in a few different decks such as this one. Tell me if you guys still want more info. I'll comment the full combo if so.

Pretty sure you can't kill anyone before the first upkeep.

Turn 0 win means on your opponents first turn before you have taken a turn, you win.

I know what people mean when they say turn zero win. I was replying to the deck description which is claiming you can win before the first upkeep with this deck.

Ah. I did not carefully read his deck description.

I'm just glad the turn 0 win is actually in here and it's not some cleverly crafted joke deck to get onto the hot page. I'm sick of those joke decks

It is possible for a turn 0 win here.
1- your opponent goes first.
2- your opponent stats their untap step
3- discard a blue card from your hand a put Gemstone Caverns with a luck counter into play.
4- discard one of the spirit guides for one mana and tap Gemstone Caverns for one blue
5- play Flash to bring out Protean Hulk and don't pay the extra cost.
6- search and play all 4 DotV, 4 Maruders, and 4 Walls
7- all 4 Marauders and all 4 Walls go to the graveyard for having 0 toughness.
8- DotV makes target opponent lose 32 life.
9- your opponent is died before their upkeep

only cards needed in opening hand is Gemstone Caverns, one of the spirit guides, Flash, Protean Hulk, and a random blue card to discard.

good game

This is incorrect as no player receives priority before the first upkeep.

Lotus Petal. Yummy. One of my fav cards. Love to run them in almost every deck. 2 mana on the first turn is killer (a Land and a Lotus Petal).
