This is my current "fav" deck that I continuesly improve as I get better cards. I love Talrand and Chandra. Simple as that.The extra dual lands at the sideboard is simply cards that I'd really like to have, obviously putting Scalding Tarn, Steam Vents and Sulfur falls rather high. But they are a tad expensive, and so I'm currently looking to add Temple of Epiphany, Shivan Reef and Izzet Boilerworks to see how they do.
It's very simple, there is an obvious synergy of "I want to throw instants and sorceries at the right time when Kiln Fiend and Talrand has use of it."Chandra is good because she can copy said spells and give more effect.From my experience so far, Kiln Fiend can do amazing things early game if you use vaporsnag at the right time to remove any defending attempt. Lategame Talrand takes control with the drakes, but even then the others still has their use.
